Yeah, my issue is that most the PC games I play would rely on a good D pad. The Switch Pro has an awful D pad, and the PS4 controller has a miserable battery life. I have an 8bitdo adapter for my computer, but using a Switch Pro controller or PS4 controller on my PC with it isn't really that great. I'd like something more dedicated. I'm torn between the Game Boy style one and the modern black one. I don't like that the button labels on the black one are dim (not that it really matters) and the black one looks like pretty much any other controller. The Game Boy one is more unique looking at least. Anybody have one of these? Online reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Also, thoughts on the color scheme? Recording YouTube lessons and doing Zoom meetings was tolerable as an emergency measure for 3 months, but not nearly as good as in-person classes where I can actually assess what my students are understanding on the fly. Assessment was the biggest problem with online learning. With over 100 students in total to balance, there is no way for me to accurately assess what they all know. The standard "everyone does the same test" approach is absolutely worthless without supervision (for one, there's nothing stopping students from Googling answers, but that's not my main concern. I know damn well that students were sharing their responses with each other to minimize their already measly 30 minute per day workloads). Using projects as assessment is great, but projects don't always translate well to all curricular outcomes. I won't know until August 1st what the plan is for school in the fall. I doubt it'll be a continuation of online-only learning. It might be a blend of the old and the new. One thing's for sure, though. For years, people have wondered if traditional schools will soon become irrelevant, and whether stay-at-home online learning will become the norm. I know it seems greedy to want such immense backwards compatibility, but it just doesn't make sense for it not to be there. Playstations have always used disks. The PS5 continues using Blu-ray, officially making that format the most commonly used format for Playstation consoles. There isn't a legitimate reason for complete backwards compatibility to not be a thing. She wanted to get together but I don't live in the same city as her, and she's not willing to move. Nothing came of it. Apparently she's been in a relationship with someone for a year now, but she's never posted any pictures with him on social media and I've not even heard a name.
