That's fine, I was planning to leave her for the duration of the CC anyway, my current friend supports are CC-centric
For Gravel you might want to stick her everywhere in the base and on standby in your farming runs to raise her trust to 100 too, that's an extra 300 HP

and grats, enjoy your haul of LMD or whatever else you use the bounties on after clearing out the limited stuff. Gonna be mostly LMD for me, I had a decent surplus of RMA and Polyester Pack even before this event, but LMD is always in high demand and I still want to E2 Siege/Ptilopsis, and maybe Blue Poison and Myrtle too.
Haha, well getting to 18 from 17 was just an extra 100, already did a ground run previously but I couldn't break 17 with my current lineup
I kinda wish they had Aketon for sale as well, that's one of my biggest bottlenecks at the moment and the drop rate for it is rather meh

Yep, Challenge Contract 5 was the most brutal one yet, had to do a bunch of party rearranging and leveling to get it to work. Surprisingly, the final step was swapping out Silverash from my final line of defense and replacing him with Lappland. I guess Wolf Spirit having sort of good uptime is better than Truesilver Slash wrecking everything for 20 seconds and then doing nothing for a minute. And there's 6 and 7 now, 6 doesn't seem too bad but 7...oof.
Yeah redeploying Silverash is actually faster than just waiting for him to charge up lol
I still need to do Challenge 7 myself, haven't purchased one of the contracts

late but ty, after running it for awhile I feel like 4-6 has better drop rates than the wiki gives it credit for on Clusters (still haven't had a Concentration drop, but oh well).
Concentration drops are still pretty rare yeah, I think I've seen them maybe five or so times? lol

Today's CC was pretty nasty, I don't think Risk 8 is actually doable for me given how bad the effects are. I only managed 7 by first leveling Blue Poison to E1 lv 50 to replace Jessica, and then replacing Astesia with Siege in my front line, which felt like it should've been a downgrade but there's so much enemy spam that I guess the AoE on her s2 helps.
For what it's worth I found Ifrit actually helps a lot on the stage to nullify all the attack down contracts, plus all the enemies go down a single path pretty much she softens them all up before they get to you.

I also swear the Orirock Cluster drop rates are lower than it says on the wiki, I've been on Orirock Concentration for Eyja M3/Siege E2/Ptilopsis E2 for awhile now. Managed to squeeze out just enough for Eyja M3, so that'll help with the Challenge Contract stages, at least.
I've been farming 4-6 myself, even though the rate is a bit lower at least you have a shot of getting a Concentration drop outright. The most efficient is apparently just doing 1-7 but that takes forever since it's only a 6-san mission lol

After two 10-tix which got me zilch, threw a few more rolls at the Joint Op banner, so I've got Ch'en now.

I did have to vary up my composition a bit to actually get it working properly, could only fit 1 Medic on the center line which meant that one character in the backline had to go without healing, but the bottom position barely gets any enemies for whatever reason so it worked out fine.
Myrtle was my sole healing for my ground troops since I chose the 'no Defender/Guard' contract, I had two healers just for my snipers. Only ran Blue Poison and Exusiai, BP unfortunately has tissue HP (Was always targeted by the Rat King lol) so I couldn't just max out the Bombtail contract. My support Angelina being S3M3 also helped immensely lol, I was hammering on her skill at the end just in time to catch some strays. In hindsight I could have used Gravel to waste the Bombtails as well actually.

also yeah, if you could that'd be great. I have Eyja s2, Meteorite s1, Lappland s2 as my supports, though if you want I could replace one of them with Silverash s3.
Yeah I've already sent you a PM, I do already have a few Silverashes in my friend list but I don't typically use him since I prefer to try waifu options first lol so that's fine

Hahah, I was actually finding this level a bit more difficult than the previous, I figured those two would be especially helpful for this stage, but I haven't trained my Meteorite yet. Still managed to get the 8 though, but that was with Angelina (And Texas lol) as my sole rear anti-air DPS

the Challenge Contracts, however, are not. All of them feel kind of rigged against the player, which I guess is the point. For the current one I'm looking at (#2, basically all ranged spots disabled) I think I probably need to level Mousse or Astesia, and maybe E1 Gummy (which is probably going to break some of my older AutoDeploy setups but oh well)
Yeah the Support one being the only really beneficial one sends your risk to 0, but at least you can use it to still get one or two of the base rewards.

was also looking for a support Saria for this mission, and...is it just me, or do a lot of people have their skills not upgraded? I'll see units at E1 or even E2 with Rank 1-2 skills.
Hahah, it's especially hilarious seeing some E2 Silverash still on their S1, and that's after having them added. If you need a Support Saria you can add me; I'll just PM my tag to you.

To be fair that's actually a really good point, just that I spend so much of it on bloody chip catalysts that I never seem to have enough for anything else. Then again I'm probably definitely E2ing more units than I should...

Actually, seems like it might even be necessary in order to use her on some of the maps with reduced DP generation, like the current first CC if you pick that condition. The issue I have with Myrtle first is that she doesn't give you DP instantly, and once she starts using her skill she can't block, so if you can't get that 13-14 DP up for Siege then you can't use her skill safely. I guess it'll depend on the map.
Yeah if Myrtle has mobs to deal with I usually sandbag her skill until Siege is deployed. I did do the first daily map using the reduced DP contract that way, though this may depend on how strong your units are too (Both are E2 in my case).

For the permanent map I've gotten to Risk 13 so far though I think I messed up on buying some easier contracts. That aside Week 2 will also have some alternative contracts so it'll be better going for the higher risk totals then (Although the payout maxes out at 18 anyway).

Yeah I had the tokens from the Grani event so I could +1 Potential off the bat. Keep in mind you need four tokens for each potential level, though (Which makes buying the 6-star tokens in the red cert shop a rather offputting prospect)

Generally I try to drop Myrtle first just so I can fire off her skill sooner, she can usually buy time against the weaker trickle of early mobs decently enough, then I can drop Siege in front to handle additional mobs. Though you could also see if maybe Texas would work better for you over Myrtle (or even just use all three) Also Myrtle's S1 does have a slightly higher DP rate if you don't need the healing.

thinking on it more, I'm leaning towards buying Siege, she'll be an overall upgrade to Texas/Zima and a Vanguard is something I use on every map, whereas Angelina is someone I feel like I might have trouble finding space for. And yeah, there's the chance of getting her from Recruitment but banking on it seems like gambler's fallacy. Probably.
Yeah hoping on Recruitment is pretty blah lol, I mean I did get lucky with Siege but if you're not getting the relevant tags it becomes even more of a crapshot. Siege/Myrtle is my general go-to these days, with Texas tagging along in the rare instance I need a third - And even that may only last until Nino Nakano Bagpipe drops lol

I got a Cliffheart dupe on the first banner and got Manticore on the second myself, not too bad since I wasn't really planning on getting Ethan

As an aside it's nice that CC has free infinite retries so you can just spam tries to figure out which challenge contract combinations to take. First daily map is a bit of a troll though - Only the first enemy caster ever uses the alt exit and that's only after making several rounds around the map, so you can safely turtle down at the main exit.

Kinda funny that they have a somewhat noticeable similarity to Zooey/Shalem (Even a bit of Chloe with the Gyaru/Selfie bit) from GBF lol, I recall there was a Sandalphon lookalike too (Harle). Almost weird that they actually revamped the names/characters for those since even in DL CyGames isn't shy about just lifting characters wholesale from their older franchises lol

Contingency Contract tomorrow in Arknights, huh. I feel a bit underprepared going by what I've heard about it (only 4 E2 units atm) but I guess I'll see. The new banners sound nice (particularly the one with Siege/Saria/Blue Poison), and hopefully I can get Myrtle from one of them...
Ultimately if you're not intending to buy out the shop (Which seems to be upgrade mats outside of Siege's outfit anyway) you can just make do with simpler difficulty contracts for reduced rewards, it's essentially a 'customize-your-challenge-mode' event

come to think of it, is the US version running on a faster release schedule than the Chinese/Japanese? Nian is the other unreleased character that I really like the looks of but her release was pretty recent in Japan so I doubt she's soon regardless.
I feel like that's the general trend for most different-server games, at least for these CN ones. CN has to make new content while Global/EN has a stockpile they can burn through more immediately so their release schedule is comparatively accelerated. Of course in Arknights' case both servers came online relatively close to each other (CN 1 May 2019, EN/G 16 January 2020) so the release schedule may not be as noticeably accelerated. Nian came out in January for CN so maybe we can expect her in a couple months, unless they decide to save her for EN's New Years or something.

By schwing schwing I was referring to SilverAsh lol, since they have sorta similar S3s

also on the subject of Arknights, EX-7 has been giving me a ton of trouble, even following a playthrough as best I can doesn't work. It's hard to tell if I'd be best off investing my Sanity into further upgrades for my main teams, leveling unused operators to try and replicate strats other people have done, or risking it on Challenge modes for other event stages.
I've managed to finish all the challenge stages though I ended up using a gimmicky Liskarm setup for CM EX-7 (Brawlers supercharge her SP production so I could spam (Friend) Angelina S3 more often). That being said the shop also kinda ran out of OP exchange packages at level 60 so there's nothing much left to save OP for except costumes I guess, so that's less pressure to do the challenge stages at all lol
I feel like generally investing sanity into upgrading your main team would have the better overall payoff, while some units are featured often in online guides due to accessibility and relative usefulness ultimately with a strong enough team and tweaks you can somewhat work similar strategies - ie Durnar features in a lot of the latest event stage guides but I've never touched her

And some of these challenge modes are pretty silly, some like EX-2 in particular seem to just be based on exploiting how dumb the AI can be...that's kind of a problem I have in general with Arknights, is that some stages seem to be nonsensically difficult until you realize some other solution. EX-3 is another one, there's a beefy enemy that walks on a path that you can't deploy any melee operators on to block him; the solution is to use Rope and pull him onto actual tiles.
Yeah some of the map layouts and AI pathways are inherently annoying, especially the block placement ones (CB-EX5 in particular) in since you need to experiment a bit to see which layouts work best for your strategy and sometimes successive enemies go through different paths and you can't just funnel them through your space because that blocks all the exits or something.
I didn't use Rope for the stage you mentioned (EX4?), I think I just brute forced with my snipers and casters pretty much though I did have to try a few times to get it right
The PRTS website (https://map.ark-nights.com/map/) does show enemy pathways (Click the arrows near the top-right to advance) so you can plan out in advance but yeah it isn't the most elegant solution to the problem lol

Also at like 200 yellow certs now, kind of tempted to go for Hoshiguma since I have no 6* Defender, but I'm leaning more towards saving for Angelina/Saria/Siege. Or I could just save them for Headhunting Permits...Blaze looks nice, not sure how soon she is.
I kinda feel bad for my Hoshi since I haven't even promoted her once lol, I pretty much only bring her whenever I need an extra 3-block for whatever reason
I was thinking of buying Angelina in the shop back when but ended up splurging on the set of draw tickets lol, slightly regretting it now if it weren't for the Ange on my friend lists, her panic button S3 has a much shorter cooldown compared to every other panic button unit (Eyja etc) so you can spam it so much more
Blaze is def one of the Tier 0 operators worth saving for, I think she's supposed to be released with Chapter 6 so that should be somewhat soon.

Yeah I'm a bit OCD when it comes to pulls since I want to maximize the rolls I can do on a banner that interests me, so I only ever do single pulls (Helps that I've been rather lucky about usually not needing to do the full 10 pulls for most banners) but I did collect a small pile of 10-draw tix from the shop so I'm going to have to use those at some point.

Well I did spend over 3000 tokens yeah, feels like the payoff doesn't really show unless you're willing to go deep tbh, that way you at least come out with some Black Cards and in a worst-case scenario could turn in some exchange tickets for at least a couple Black Cards. (I did get my final black card from exchanging my remainder tickets after completing my furniture set)

Funnily enough it was getting a friend Eyja with S3 which helped me to finish the stage, there are a few critical mob points in the stage where you just need to kill everything in time and S3 is great for that

besides using a support Exusiai, I think upgrading my healers ultimately made the final difference. I also had much better results with two AoE healers instead of AoE on the bottom and single-target on the top, the auto-crossbows hitting multiple characters regularly makes it hard for a single-target healer to keep up.

Not sure what I want to do with the game now, trying to "just" do daily missions is probably more time than I want to spend on it...maybe just Annihilation for the weekly rolls.
I used Ptilopsis and Perfumer myself yeah, E1 Perfumer's especially handy for these sort of maps

I feel like I needed to E2 a majority of my units before I could reliably clear Anni3, also being lucky that Exu's S3 coincided with when I needed it to go off most haha. I've seen some videos of people just using her S2 though.
There's definitely little to no reason to run the stage after you clear it though (being that it takes so much longer than Anni2), so if a friend unit can help you clear it's def. recommended to do so
I like Durins much better, Harvins are too potato. I wonder if they made Harvins extra-short since they already had female Draphs as a short race. Though Harvins seem to be the least popular race anyways.

Well you only really need to get them to 60 to use the 5-star chips (And CT was entirely clearable with a level 40 BGM), everything after is just gravy that won't really affect the game that much
Not to mention upcoming events will be greatly reduced in difficulty (Isomer having a difficulty slider, Polarized Light being clearable with level 70 echelons etc)
So there's really not much reason to level past 60

I was thinking of getting Angelina with the Slow tag... Then I realized that Angelina isn't even in the pool rip. Support tag gets me the only units I don't have yet so I went with that... Courier/Gavial and their dupes are from the Credit store, aren't they? That being said you can't exchange dupes until you max out their potential anyway so... Well I guess you do get additional certs from just getting the dupes as well.

And yeah, I feel like I would've had to be much stronger on Anni 2 to clear it without Shaw thanks to the Wraith Leaders. I might try her 2nd skill for the EX stages though.
I still use FEater to guard the exit in Anni 2 lol

I'm kinda tempted to throw a few more rolls at the current banners for Schwarz/Angelina but I also want to save for Blaze who should be soonish (Which would also complete my chainsaw girls bingo)

Durin appears, everyone assumes Durins are slow and lazy, so they cant get any info out of her race otherwise.

Myrtle appears, everyone goes oh, so its just the one lazy girl but theyre still clueless about the race because Myrtle is just as sheltered.

Also they seem to be perpetual lolis since Myrtle claims to be an adult but everyone keeps giving her candy and headpats.
I like that Durin is so lazy she just has her codename after her own race because she couldn't be bothered thinking of anything better
But yeah Durins seem to be basically Arknights Harvins

Shaw's manual skill has a higher weight limit, if you haven't tried that. Will still be better at M3 of course. Personally I just ignored the Specialist mechanics lol, but the Extra stages are definitely some of the most difficult content for Arknights so far (And I breezed through the initial stages), though a fair bit is also some annoying artificial difficulty like the physical resist unblockable enemy units.
yeah, I think the feline race had the most of any race but with no Medics you're going to have a rough time. Though Siege technically is technically a separate lion race or something.

Though honestly, as many races as there are, most of them are just a variant of "animal ears + tail", "horns", "wings", or a fair amount that just look like regular people even if they're technically a non-human race.
Yeah I was thinking if you allowed for 'horned' or 'ears' in general you'd get a much better pool to pick from. Surprisingly Liberi are also pretty common next to Felines with a good range of units in general.

General Doll production rate-up (which includes MGs) is currently underway, it usually lasts two days for each type. You can check by seeing which tabs are highlighted by the red Event box in the Factory.

Shotguns are always the best value for the exchange since they cost so much, but if you feel you can make use of MG5 immediately then it's your call
That being said it's probably a better idea to wait until the end of the rate-ups (Which slipped my mind) since you might luck into the dolls from manufacturing

The only alternative is the True Core Mask 2nd Year icon which will probably be entered into the shop next year for 5000FP/200G anyway like the Mask icon currently available

Grabbed myself the pizza lion because I'm pretty much only missing shotguns now

I used a rifle/hg team as per the gamepress guide here: https://gamepress.gg/girlsfrontline/girlsfrontline/girlsfrontline/girlsfrontline/djmax-ex2-3-end-moonlight-ex.
As per the guide you'll need to shuffle one of your rifles to reset their targeting every time a new set of Strikers come into their range, and always bring your tank to the orange spotlight since it boosts evade. I'm not sure how well a ARSMG team would work.

Yeah it's probably the worst of the drone-heavy challenge maps next to the whack restriction of 5-7 Challenge, though the H-maps are basically some of the hardest in-chapter content and only give you an Ori Prime or sometimes a plaque per clear so like the regular challenge maps it's more flex content than anything. To a certain extent drone-heavy maps also basically suffer from 'If you have E2 Exusiai this map is half as hard' lol

Few more rolls got me the Aoi Yuuki literature kuma, so that's a net positive at least, since I could always buy Sora from the shop. Incidentally Aoi Yuuki also voices the currently only limited non-event character in the game (Nian) which made a lot of people really unhappy to say the least (exacerbated by her banner being hecking shared with another 6-star)
On the other hand they also seem to be introducing a new spark-like system ala GBF down to the 300 pulls needed. Now if only they'd flood us with free pull currency as much as GBF does.

For the most part you only need to grind the milestone rewards in OF-7 until you max them out, you get tickets from the milestones too

The maximum range of the S2 drone is its own panel and the damage is absolutely piddly outside skill activation. A small army of AoE snipers is a much better deal for most situations, and the base damage is enough to handle average armour outside skill activation. That, plus S3's +150% damage boost when you activate her skill provides hugely increased DPS that can do work against heavy armour. Another important note is that the drones can now overlap AoE damage so the accumulative damage becomes actually quite impressive.

Magellan looks neat, I don't have any summoners except Deepcolor so I've never really played with them.
Summoners come with the contrivance of summons taking up active operator slots, so for the most part you wouldn't really use them outside of situational circumstances, ie maps where their drone's particular specialities make it worth forgoing deployment of other operators or where you need to constantly reposition your operators (since Mayer and Magallan have summon recall on skill end). Also apparently some maps in the future will have initial operator limits so using summoners is a way to bypass that handicap.

Aside from that Magallan's most widely-applicable skill is also S3 so if you really want to use her you'll have to E2 her- Which, while I did, wouldn't consider a priority E2. I still kinda find her fun to use, and she's certainly made some maps more consistent. But most importantly she's cute.
