my gym reopened, went for an hour. Im not sure if im going to keep going for the foreseable future but yesterday felt like chancing it. Only 2 other people were there, so we all stayed very far apart and just did a few hello waves to each other.

Did a deadlift day, did a lot of solid sets of 405 x 7, which surprised me considering that ive been away from working out other than the small amount of weight i have at my apartment. Only was able to do 495 x 1 though, hopefully muscle memory takes over.

Gonna wait a few days and see how things are doing in terms of case numbers. Numbers are dropping even after reopening, but we still have to wait to really see what reopening has done

its a 1 inch bar. I think it needs some oil or something, i mean the bar is at least 20 years old, probably close to 30. I think the plates themselves need some cleaning though too, which i dont know much about on how to do since ive only cleaned a bar once before and never any weights

so i found a decent deal on craigslist, 100lbs worth for 140 bucks. Usually its about 1 dollar a pound, but this was easily the best deal ive found recently on a craiglist/ebay/whatever. So i gave in. Only problem is one of the 25lbers doesnt fit on my bar. So either the weight needs sanded down, or maybe my bar is a bit corroded? Idk but i hope its just some oil and sandpaper type stuff needed.

i love how gouged everything is due to covid 19 obviously. I have 185 lbs to work with at my home gym, went onto craigslist after the lol ebay. Got 2 45lbs plates for $150 which isnt bad considering whats going on right now, so now I can do most of my old bench workout for now 275 to work with. Squats and deads gonna a have to be just pure till failure each time oh well.

But ya ebay prices right now are lol. 45 lb plate should be 45 to 50 dollars. They are around 200 for 1 plate and sometimes they add the 100 dollar shipping in the smaller portion of the auction to try and fool you. The non shipping price is already a joke,

Ya it looks like there might be 3 or so timelines that will eventually converge? While I'm more on the negative side of these changes I am willing to give them a chance.

Also I read an article (need to find it) that makes the apt comparison of the whisperers of fate being basically us playing the game/the hype of the remake itself. This meta aspect is kinda similar to the hype of what MGS2 went through as well.

Beat it on Monday, might start doing the chapters on hard tonight idk.

to be fair they arent complaining about the game, otherwise warcraft 3's original release would have the same score.

And Starcraft 2 was pretty fucked up, the last great thing blizzard did was Diablo 2/LoD. Although Warcraft 3/TFT in 02/03 wasnt nearly as bad as ulti has always said, it was still easily the beginning of my issues with blizzard.

War 3 TFT was the best game of its time regardless of genre.

The game itself was very good, but everything that was made possible by Battlenet and the World Editor elevated it to incredible heights.

War3s map editor was vast sure, but cmon dude war 3 was pretty flawed

War3s story was forgettable imo. Basically a retelling of starcraft only the protoss were split into the orcs (stronger units and looking for a new homeland) and night elves (mysterious and intelligent but also problems with being too traditional in their ways). Never understood the war 3 story praise
