Last year: Finished 11th place, eliminated day 90
This year: FInished 90th place, eliminated day 11

Which would mean tomorrow's elim would be...

as a Canadian, "John Tyler" is the one president name in that list I didn't recognize, had to look him up.

Last year, 8 of the 10 pre-FoG boots had stats (Cindy Aurum and Umaro odd ones out)

This year with Goff's elim, we're running 50/50. Making things too easy on lefty.

It is worth reflecting on last year's early boot class:

96. Cyan Garamonde
97. Chocobo
98. Cindy Aurum
99. Hope Estheim
100. Fran

Chocobo and Cindy being the fringe ones, Umaro's optional, but the rest are major playable characters in mainline FFs, so 7/10.

This year we're running 2/10 (Gau, Steiner) on that metric, and it's been a while since I played FF6 but Gau feels like a stretch on that metric...

So maybe next year we're back to main character slaughter. Selphie and Wakka can get back in after all!!

lol, considering the alternate path to Wall Market throws the "caution" barrier, if you can "get through" that... no arm game.

I guess the question is, would you have to go through the arm game in chapter 13 - which I can tell you, from my experience having suffered through this, there's no way to access the lab other than through the collapsed expressway. Despite the game throwing up Caution stoppings throughout the game, they don't stick one there. You can run all the way down and through Wall Market, and round to the Sector 7 park, only to be met with solid concrete preventing any passage to where you need to go.

I imagine the game just has the ladders already "down" in Chapter 13 assuming you went through the game already in Chapter 9... but maybe not...!

3 of the 9 (hard) boots so far are from the crop of 25 new entrants (Kiros 99th, Gau 95th, Elena 92nd)

Out of all 25 boots last year, only 3 of them were new entrants, 1 hard 2 soft (Selphie 92nd, Basch 79th, Reno 76th)

So... is the new entrant bloodbath going to continue or is this the limit? Will history repeat for Basch and Reno?

Worth also noting that other entrants who were soft booted last year (in addition to Elena, Reno and Basch) were Setzer, Beatrix, Lulu, and Ashe.
