Yes armed police officers are currently allowed in schools, even though then you see articles popping up of cops losing their shit and threatening students, they're no joke probably a good thing to have in every school anyway.

Teachers with handguns in their drawers though and parents and kids just waltzing in open carry, lol.

Apparently what I proposed already exists.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/End-to-end_auditable_voting_systems

So we should take this and enforce it on the federal level. There, no more voter fraud without impersonation fraud.

Or we could continue to let states outsource the job to third parties who design an app that simply does not work and is in no way verifiable. (And verify-ably wrong)

I watched him. I think the reason I thought he was a Liberal was because he never spouted a right wing opinion. I don't think he was ever a "Liberal" though.

Seriously. The guy is so vapid and devoid of opinions, he does nothing but make fun of random nutty people on the left without admitting his actual political opinion, and then runs as a right wing candidate that wants to ban hijabs and mosques, probably because he just did what the guys who were nicest to him at that point wanted.

I think American Conservatives love him for his accent and big word usage. The fact that you can't understand half the things he says make you feel like an intellectual, it does a good job of obfuscating his pretty empty talking points that revolve entirely out of straw manning people like me and you as SWJs, while sweeping aside the minor fact that we're, idk, correct about 90% of the very important policy issues?

Fun fact from someone who followed him for a while, he got involved in politics because he wanted "something to believe in". Get that? He admits he had no political opinions, despite being a political channel with billions of views for 4 years. And I would know because I watched him for two of them.

I like your ideas Yellow. Man why have I never seen this done before, maybe it is on political boards or something, but I bet some really great ideas could be found this way.

We are the pokemon Ogurisama, we are the ones that were caught.
The cryptography idea was my own, being a programmer that's worked with bitcoin APIs (I wrote my own bitcoin wallet program), a solution where rigging any election would be impossible is possible.

It says something when bitcoin, a currency that is worth billions of dollars, has yet to be hacked. You can hack a program 100% of the time, you cannot hack a mathematics equation with state of the art cryptography in the time the universe has left to exist. If you hang around the GBATemp boards as long as I have, you know the only way to decrypt anything is by tricking the program into giving you the key.

I stay clear of the politics board, which is filled with people who basically treat politics like a fanboy treats their favorite company or video game system.

I could list a whole thing that would mainly just mimic a typical Social Democrat, but I can add a couple things.

1) ---

Voting is terrible. I'd make it so 1 vote = 1 vote, so first off get rid of delegates that seem to only exist to insert rounding errors into the equation. Primaries or otherwise. However, even if we didn't get rid of our damned delegate system, I would do the following, which would be an objective improvement.

I'd hire security experts to design a system of voting that cannot be rigged using cryptography. The end result would generate a checksum of all votes, where you could;

A) Prove that your vote was counted correctly, given your own key.
B) Prove that you voted a certain way on your end without any doubt.

This way if a single vote is changed, the entire checksum will be mathematically invalid, and we would have to make it mathematically impossible to do.

All doing this without being centralized, as bitcoin does.

I'm going to take this to some online cryptographic experts and see if we can get a proof of concept going, then I might start sharing it around leftist circles. There's also the fact that quantum computers will in the future make many kinds of encryption irrelevant (computers that Google currently owns), so we'll have to take that into account.

The official Iowa app was not using HTTPS, not even basic encryption. Chrome won't even let you visit sites without HTTPS, that's how insecure their app was. (And if you look at the results it's very clear someone rigged it)

None of this matters if you have people who literally acknowledge that the results are invalid and refuse to change it. (Iowa) This is more of something that should help keep the slime out once we get in.

2) ---

I would fine companies heavily for hiring undocumented immigrants and grant citizenship to all current undocumented immigrants. This makes it so people living in the south don't have to compete with people who are (being exploited) working for nickels and dimes. The immigrants living here would have their lives vastly improved, and over a period of time (say two years) no one would want to come over, because no one will hire illegal immigrants due to the massive penalties I'd enforce on hiring undocumented workers.

Then we can make it much easier to gain access to the country, as long as the receiving states can economically handle it. I don't think it's particularly important that they have our constitution memorized.

3) ---

If we can't beat the established corruption that we'll have to outsmart them and come up with a plan that exploits the system in our favor. 5 of them at once, and just launch every plan at once. They may have strings, but they can't read our minds.

There are two things that would keep Bernie from beating Trump. Both are the centrist Democrats. Either they shoehorn in Bloomberg or Buttigieg, both have zero chance beating Trump, or the popularity boost they gave to Trump, giving him a record high approval rating, after failing to impeach Trump fucks over any Democrat. (Who could have seen it coming?) If you looked at the polls pre-acquittal, Bernie destroyed Trump in the rust belt.

The McResistance that hammers away at every feeling he hurts, attacking him with horrible points, has actually done a great job of making him look like the bigger man. They've put on a mastery in incompetence. When a European asks why we're plagued with far right politicians you can point the finger at people like Nancy Pelosi CNN MSNBC and The Washington Post, who almost orchestrated his campaign.

Honestly, if you legit thought it was rigged, why wouldn't it sway in favor of Biden? Biden is the establishment candidate. More importantly, you're ascribing to malice something easily explained by a more reasonable ineptitude.
There's too much ineptitude, and the fact that they refuse to do a recount, just to fix the known errors that people have pointed out to them, there's just too much. All this on top of how we were handled last election and it's very reasonably malice. The vast majority of the "mistakes" put Bernie at a disadvantage at pretty much every turn, mostly by literally just taking votes from him.

And Biden is hopeless and has dementia or something. Not even being smug, because that's terrible, people just know he can't win anymore. Aside from that, he does this every election he runs. The more he talks, the less people like him.

I'm not convinced it was the DNC or the Buttigieg campaign, but with 40 billionaires there's bound to be some strings to pull and it's probably very very indiscriminate.

So isn't Bernie Sanders.

Nope! Bernie has even said it himself multiple times. He wants to ban private health insurance. You are describing Pete's plan.
I bet you were hoping I wouldn't respond to this.

A) good
B) no, see below
C) I didn't give Pete the benefit of a doubt, he supports a moderate plan to take on climate change with a budget of $1.5-$2 trillion.
https://www.politico.com/story/2019/09/04/pete-buttigieg-climate-change-1479995
Keyword moderate, Bernie's deal more akin to FDR's new deal.
D) That attitude is why they vote Republican, and because we don't adopt it we poll extremely well in rust belt states by proposing left leaning policies.

Yes, medicare "for all who want it" does not ban private insurance. This is Pete's plan.

We've tried it before, it's Obamacare. It's not good enough. We want what every other developed country has. You would be incredibly naive to think one of the most successful social programs in history wouldn't work in the US.

And ironically, Bernie's plan is moderate in America's extremely right leaning political bubble. It does not ban private insurance. It's Identical to the UK's healthcare system.

He's probably going to disregard new energy technology in favor of fossil fuels, as well as ignore the rust belt's general well being as far as jobs go as they'd never support him anyway.

No one actually knows what Pete Buttigieg supports because he never talks about policies, just empty catch cliches about "unity" and defeating Trump.
