| MarthGoomba 03/07/20 11:20:47 PM #1 | MMORPGs were more fun and much more dynamic in group structure when you were either just a ranged or melee person and didn't need to fill the arbitrary 1 tank 1 healer 3 damage setup It just doesn't make much sense for a class that's wearing plate armour, like Ret/Holy Paladins or Lancers, to not be able to take damage in group settings. It goes against the entire point of wearing heavy armour and it's silly Crowd control doesn't even seem to be a thing in MMORPGs anymore. Just have one tank grab everything and spam AOE damage. Makes every encounter feel the same and super boring Blue Protocol looks like it won't fall into this WoW template so I'm pretty excited for it. Could be a comeback for the genre |

There isn't anything in the game that a player can do to be more skilled than their opponents, because of how the mechanics are based on RTS. It's not like a fighting game or old-school FPS where you have multitudes of mechanics to take advantage of with a near infinite skill ceiling, it's just a watered down RTS meant to be highly accessible. Sophie was my first and made me a huge fan of the series because they're too experimental and shallow The crafting is more in-depth than both Dusk and Arland, and the combat is about the same as Atelier usually is I'm not seeing how it's shallow or what "experimental" things there are that make it bad. The characters are cute, the art and music are excellent, the more puzzly crafting was a LOT of fun, and overall they're damn good games without any major flaws to ruin it all. |

Ryza is the newest and the start of a new series. Only the order within a series matters, so you can pick which one appeals to you most. |
