Hey, you asked for a middle ground. That's literally the middle ground, it's saying I don't want to indict but I don't think he's innocent. What middle ground can you think of besides that?

LOL no. If you think our 2016 was bad you've no idea what mess you're getting into with South Korea. They are vastly superior at drama and corruption.
You're stretching way too far. Nigeria is god awful and you'd be jailed within a year if you weren't killed first.

well that part never happened lol

Except it did. You overestimate current polls to defining the winner. This doesn't mean it's likely by any means but 6% in November before Iowa is within the range of potential success. The majority of primary leaders don't hold their leads the entire way through: Newt, Hillary, Rudy, and Dean all ranged from bitter defeat to absolutely crushed. Bill was in single digits, around 8% in December. Carter is the most extreme example since he was at 4% in January. It's not an unheard of number so it'd be wrong to say she wasn't potentially viable then.

So you're telling me a candidate who went from almost nothing to a low polling but potentially viable candidate with the only difference being Hillary's attack is now, two months later, doing worse and it's not due to multiple other factors or that bump fading away because it's been two months? She surged immediately after. It wasn't sustainable as nothing major happened. That's fully expected. If Bernie gets a similar surge, he wins Iowa. That IS sustainable and a huge deal, especially with him off the road.

Social Left cant win?

I'm talking the more identity politics. Gay marriage hasn't been an issue for a while, trans are certainly mainstream but note that some of that comes with a hard split when sex and gender clash (e.g., sports), and weed being legal is technically something both sides should be able to agree on.

And I didn't mean the elected officials, the voterbase. Dems have gone further to the far left than republicans have to the far right. This isn't new, the data is from 2017 and I don't see why it'd shrink considering we've gotten more polarized since then.

Oh the democratic party has lunged more left than the republican party has gone right since 2016, Trump pushed that one. The middle is bigger than it used to be.

Also i disagree that the far left ones can't win but it depends on the left. If it's social, no. Economic, yes. So Warren is screwed but Bernie's a legit threat. A mix of him, Tulsi, and Yang would leave Trump completely screwed.

Mm... Still don't like Pete and it's partially because I don't know what he really believes. He's one of those candidates going through the motions but that's it. I don't consider many to be lost causes though, it's only when we get to extremes i start feeling that way. Or for a particular issue, identity politics as it tends to be a cancer on issues.

Pew poll saying only 31% believing the economy was helping them, 32% believing it was helping the middle class (58% believing it was hurting), and among lower income Republicans 47% said it's hurting them while 30% said helping.

The issues of wages vs. expenses and debt being on tucker is pretty interesting. He's who Trump watches the most so let's see if anything happens there.

The tweet was NOT fine, it's merely not the worst thing that Trump does on any given day; you're still contributing to normalizing his manner of self aggrandizing by making shit up

Like, he didn't give any SOURCES to back up the idea that blacks are better off now than they were under the last year of Obama's presidency, he's just saying it - and even if he did give sources, it's obvious what the real thrust of the message is ("I'm great and Obama sucks")

there is no positive message here, just some bullshit meant to puff himself up, and it's not normal or fine

Like look at what you're saying. Re-read it and see if it makes sense.
"He didn't give sources here!" is followed up with "it wouldn't matter anyway!"

A literal positive message is replaced with "there's no positive message" because he's a braggart.

This means that anything he says, as long as he brags, will never be good to you. Always bad. That even if he backs it up with proper sources it wouldn't matter because he brags. You're saying, in no uncertain terms, that as long as that character exists he will never be good and will only be bad, regardless of the content. At that point there's no argument to be had, just dogmatic world view.

So what if he brags a lot. Xp's approach was by far a better one - attacking the content instead of the character. The content is what matters. The character is such a losing argument and so common with Trump that it's the basis of what people call Trump derangement syndrome. Argue and beat his position properly because if you don't you're gonna get stuck in a loop for a lot more than just the next 4 years.

GG was like the harbinger of the alt-right and I'm pretty sure there's been multiple articles/reports dissecting it as such.

No data of any kind put it anywhere but left. Two attempts were made for data, both put it pretty squarely in that half. Networking analysis showed a very broad spectrum as well, with most major nodes being left. There's plenty of articles trying to say otherwise, sure, but no data agrees with them. Nevermind that the articles would be the ones criticized in the first place.

I mean, I think continuing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt in every single situation while totally ignoring his history is a lot more insane

It's similar to how the media largely continues to credulously report on things Trump said as though they're probably true, even though he's documented to have lied over ten thousand times as president

It's not a benefit of the doubt.
It's literally what's said and just leaving it at what he said. Nobody disagrees he's bragging. Apparently there's disagreement over it being a positive message despite literally being one with the only way to tweak that as "because Trump."

2, it's literally the same people in here from back then.

3, if I were to be "alt right" then your window of anything left is gonna be super tiny and your definition of liberal doesn't match up to any values liberalism has.

4, Trump is bad sometimes, Trump is good sometimes. There's no bad in that tweet.

But there's a certain pride that this would violate because we'd be no better than anyone else. Fuck that, we're the biggest economy. If we don't lead the idea of a business with no bribes, nobody will. Now granted, if your position is that we do it anyway and thus is being more honest, fine. That one involved our officials from back in 2009. Do we know who knew what? No. But when we're talking big money like the only party is the dollar.

Heart depends who it's with.
Done it with Silent and Defect. Did it on first or second run with Defect, the name of the game is orb spam. Beating the heart easily means 3 key things:

1) DPS
2) Minimal card usage or a lot of block (you take 1 damage every card played)
3) Strength reduction

Easiest run for it?
Get that ? Option where you trade half your life for 5 intangible cards on a Silent poison deck. With a couple Catalysts poison will blow through the heart and anything else with ease. You won't be fighting it for more than 6 turns most likely. Bear in mind the most damage you can do a turn is 300 so you're guaranteed to fight for 4 turns anyway. A shiv deck is possible but needs a loooot of block for the amount of spamming you're gonna do and if you ran into that act 3 boss who limits turn actions your run is probably ending there anyway. If poison ain't happening, Caltrops spam is great too, he's got an x12 attack with a low Strength modifier so you can get 0x12 easy, making for a hilarious result when you've 15 thorns on you. But it'll be longer and you can't fully rely on this.

Defect will take a bit more time usually but it'll be maxing out orbs asap, stacking focus boosts, and a lot of lightning with occasional dark.

Is that legally any different from saying that left handed people (not a protected class) cant vote unless they pay a left-handed voting booth fee?

I dont see how making it selective makes it any better (in fact, it makes it worse)

Unless I'm misunderstanding, the fine is part of the punishment for breaking the law so the idea is that they haven't finished serving their sentence.

Can't say I agree with that though, financial ability shouldn't impede that right. Unless there's a vested interest by the state, mainly done to prevent harm, rights shouldn't be restricted.

Quick Google check shows mostly right wing sources as the story but the specifics referenced are 1) the contract paperwork having her hired for the second year and she resigned, and 2) a previous interview where she talks about questioning if she should leave her job. Both are in here:

https://thefederalist.com/2019/10/07/records-show-elizabeth-warren-lied-about-being-fired-for-being-visibly-pregnant/

And... She doesn't actually defend her position afterwards much actually. Just a "plenty of women were fired for this!" Kind of mentality. Which is true but uh... Probably not her. She does also say the promised job went to someone else in June. Maybe true on that? Though "resignation accepted with regret" is odd to that.

I'll go with the extreme care that got brought up when it was asked, Boston bomber. I'm in camp never get anything and the only reason I support his being alive is because the death penalty is prohibitively expensive.

I do think there should be more punishment for the ultra rich there too. Their vote ain't their power, their money is. I'd go as far as to consider freezing all money remotely involved with politics from the moment charges get laid. Guilt of any felonies or pled down felonies would admit a removal of donation to any candidate, organization directly tied to a candidate, or party, direct, PAC, company, or otherwise.

Easier way to limit it to the rich might be by just setting a set an absolute cap. Not firm on this idea but you get the direction i fall, it's one of the only areas i can be fairly authoritative.

I go hard in the opposite direction, hell it doesn't even make logistical sense for the vast majority of instances - what district, the prison's even though they've nothing to do with the community and may not even be residents of that state? Though I also just do not see a reason to allow it: if government is a representation of the people's will and you've actively gone against it in such a way that it's been proven that you've harmed others in a way that violated their rights, you've proven your inability to work in it. Bear in mind, we're talking felonies, not misdemeanours, and I'm in the camp that favors decriminalization of drug offenses that don't hurt anyone else.

I don't see why anyone would object to prisoners who've completed their sentences to be allowed to vote. Then again, I don't see why people object to prisoners currently in prison being allowed to vote so that's probably just me.

For me it depends on the crime, though i can understand the argument of when they're out. Inside, nah, you're in prison. You're removed from society and chose to break the law in a severe way so you shouldn't have a say on it while you're there.

But stuff like drug offenses, absolutely should get them back. It's when we hit murder I hesitate, though can still understand if there's proof of rehabilitation. Rape is notorious on rehabilitation problems so I don't know there. However if you go to the more extreme versions of both - mass murderers, child rapists - I hit a firm wall of never giving any voting rights again. And am not convinced they're ever acceptable in society at large.

Nuclear waste is a smaller issue than other climate issues and potential uses can eventually be found. It's totally a problem but it's a problem with clear answers and factors. Less than 100 plants power a fifth of the country, you could drastically reduce coal, fracking, and oil with that with less damage and ultimately fewer costs.

tl;dr: The moment this story leaked to the media, assuming it happened, Sanders and Warren were put in an awful spot

Hell no this is the best thing that's happened to both of them.

Sanders gets a remotived base for a massive smear that CNN couldn't hold back on literally less than 5 seconds for in an easy to clip part of the debate.

Warren plays up identity politics and gets to be a media darling again, which recaptures a lot of that floating population.

Both get media coverage. Bernie's never been mentioned more often in media! And just in time considering there's no ads for them to buy.

I mean since I don't think anyone made any waves you can make the standard "nothing big frontrunner won" thinking but I dunno.

That's all it is behind claims of Biden won.

Now bear in mind, it's entirely possible that Warren's attack with her very, very notable and obvious media push right now will make both her and Bernie more relevant. No such thing as bad press so there's a chance both go up due to this "beef" in the immediate future. Longer term - and by that I just mean through Iowa and maybe NH - she might go down while he stays up. I can't see the Bernie attack work against him in any way but the press doing what they're doing means she's staying up until other notice. As it stands, this is a conscious hit against Pete to set her up as a third option as she's getting back that affluent and educated white vote. With it she's back to 20%.

... though that may well means Biden scores another couple points since he's a lesser second choice there too.

Didn't I tell you this was 100% coordinated by her? She's an amoral calculating banshee.

Fair enough, you were right. Fortunately i don't see this work out for her in the end either since the argument just boils down to "I'm a woman, we can win too, vote for me!" She has some weird political ideas sometimes that just exist to backfire and this feels like one.

Probably thought they didn't eliminate it and shot again at it.

Well it's poking holes in the logic again.
The current excuse is that they thought it was a missile. This is despite the size, speed, heat, and directional pattern. Now they fired at it twice, even after it changed direction to go back, which is a lot more human.

Video Shows Two Iranian Missiles Hit Ukrainian Plane https://nyti.ms/2QS757k

... two missiles 30s apart makes this accident a lot more questionable. Was it automatic with no way to disable?

I'm not saying people will leave him for gaffes

I'm saying it's certainly plausible that people that don't care for him as much will be more likely to just not vote, or vote third party, over gaffes. Dems are a lot worse for that.

Ah, i can see that one. Though I'd sooner see the reason be because they don't like him in general or don't like the direction of the party with him over that. It's a notable issue he's got.

Couldn't this argument be made for Hillary being unlikable? It'd be easy to say "Considering that Hillary is the frontrunner and everyone identifies her as unlikable, Dems are caring for that a lot less than usual."

I mean... They didn't care for that? Even after the DNC helped rig things for her the vast majority of Dems still voted for her, they saw it more as a "she deserves this!" or, at the very least "still more likeable than Trump." Which quite a few disagreed with on the other side!

She didn't have to face over a dozen people in a primary to prove herself though. There's also a difference between judging likeability and dealing with a guy prone to saying dumb shit. I mean if you think Trump capitalizes on that the most then that's fair, you think it'd energize his base more and bring more in the middle to him. That's a different argument than the issue of thinking people will leave him for gaffes.

Considering that Biden is the frontrunner and everyone identifies him as a walking gaffe machine, Dems are caring for that a lot less than usual. He's proven to be pretty teflon lite.

To most people, none.
To those pushing Warren (or Biden, or Pete) behind the scenes, a means to attack Bernie.

But all it really does is put both their names out there more and that, in a world where two billionaires are buying all the ads, helps them a lot to not be forgotten about. I welcome it for that alone.

I mean I'm curious on human meat sure but if we did it that opens a very dangerous door. If it's something that was produced in a lab without any human being harmed, maybe. Bur that's a really, really dangerous maybe.

Warren did complain that some Bernie supporters are saying her base is highly educated, affluent, and those who always vote democrat.

Which is all 100% true. Her base is mostly the same as Pete's which is why when he went up she went down. She just has a greater appeal than white bread and can get a little more.
