The most efficient in terms of Memory Shards to Sim Energy is the 3 cost one. You get 30, 40, 50, or 60 shards per run (each ? node is a 50% chance of +10 shards) there for 3 energy compared to 20, 25, 30 for the 2 cost sim (you need to get really lucky to break even with the 3 cost) and 8, 11 for the 1 cost sim.

To put another way:
1 cost Memory Frag sim -
Base is 8 Memory Fragments
1 ? node that may give +3 fragments

2 cost sim -
Base is 20 fragments
2 ? nodes that may give +5 fragments each

3 cost sim -
Base is 30 fragments
3 ? nodes that may give +10 fragments each

What I do is prioritize the 3 cost sim and then use any leftover energy that can't wait for a recharge to do more for either the lower cost ones for the four daily sims or do another sim (if it's pill day or EXP day).

Not yet. AT4 will be added to the pool eventually but it's a Theater exclusive for now. I think we have one more Theater season to get more data and then AT4 will be added to the general analysis pool in the Theater season after that (season 3) while a new HOC gets introduced the same way. That's what happened on the older servers.

Okay, I found the video compilation of the DJMax story but it's missing the minigame dialogue. I guess I was in error there. I'll post the page here anyway.

Yes but they aren't anything special. The real point of playing the EX maps is for the challenge and for the glory of having "completed" everything the event has to offer.

Pretty much for funsies. You get a little bit of story dialog after each one for how the team gets out but that's about it. You aren't missing much here, making it very much like the secret epilogue in Continuum Turbulence from beating the event story 100%. If you are playing them for that reason, play them in the story order; the story will make more sense that way. Also, there are no rhythm minigame battles in the EX maps.

Oh, and you have to start the stage over if you fail the minigame if you want to try again (although you can force quit and reset before failing to try again). Clearing the minigame does not win the stage; win or lose, the level continues as though nothing happened. If the "i" node dialog doesn't play for you, go to the game's settings and switch the story playback from "once" to "repeat".

Yep. You need El Clear on your team to get rid of El Fail's shield so that you can damage her. Fail dies really fast without it, so use the opportunity to turn off auto-skill if you have it on for the rhythm battle.

You can beat these El Fails without El Clear but it needs a very expensive setup and tight timing. It's really not worth it.

Hmm... It's probably going to be the icon for me. I don't have much left that I need in that department. But the patch notes also said that the icon will get added to the Friendship Store next year, so I could go for another doll. I haven't quite decided yet.

What I'm really looking forward to is the general rate-up. I need some more gold equipment and I really need a ton of fairy fodder for Isomer ranking.

From what I've heard, SAA mod is one of the better upgrades (which explains the rabid fan reaction when she lost the vote when Neural Upgrades were introduced to EN). The accuracy and RoF buffs her second skill gives are permanent for the duration of the battle, even if you withdraw SAA.

Congrats on your rankings!

It looks like the update patch with Chapter 11 introduced a UI glitch that looks like this:



What fixed it for me, after I tried clearing the cache to no avail, was cycling through the tabs on the far left side of the screen (Logistics, Combat Sims). After I did that and went back to the chapters, it looked normal again.

Oh, and don't forget that chapter 11 isn't unlocked until you beat 10-6, even if you've already cleared it. New chapters introduce a flag that doesn't check what you've already cleared.

Chapter 11's logistics are all lengthy ones but good for when you don't want to check back in too often. 11-1 has the second best Ammo return per hour (10-1 is the current king), 11-4 has the best Ammo and Parts return overall (good for bedtime logistics), and 11-3 has the best bedtime return for Rations.

I think there's a low rarity guide for Core 8 as well as some other video guides on Gamepress. Maybe those would be helpful?

Aside from doing the hardest Core stage you can handle, you can inch your way up the rankings by winning the Scouting prediction. Just make sure you're sending the max number of drones every day.

Since we're sharing scores and ranks, I'm currently in the top 1% with 1,030,658 points for today (946,626 in the current ranking page from yesterday). RNG has been giving me too many of the wrong fights for a couple of days now, so I'm a little nervous about failing a run and having my rank slip. Just three days of Theater left to go.

No, the 5 position is for the main tank. Vector is a good off-tank but a horrible main tank. Keep her on 8 or 2, depending on your formation (8 is preferred) Keep your RO (or other main tank choice) on the 5, as it tends to get priority from enemy targeting in general. RO635 is an excellent main tank with a lot of versatility.

Double Jupiter isn't a meme team. It's a specialized echelon meant to fight specific enemy lineups (e.g. those 43k Gundams and 89k Uhlans in CT ranking). You wouldn't use that composition in general. Your typical 2RF+3HG echelon is for most scenarios that need a rifle team.

That said, you will be seeing more mixed team usage in Isomer and beyond, mostly in ranking and hard maps, because the way enemy groups are structured will require your echelons to be specialized for those fights. One other thing I should mention about mixed teams is that you'll need stronger fairies to make up for the missing synergy tile buffs.

Of course, you could argue that IWS Exodia isn't a meme team either, and I would agree with you on the for the most part (although it has become a meme from overuse). It's more of a farming team, specifically for 10-4E core farming because that's what the comp was originally made for. The only reason I still have it set as my daytime friend echelon is because it's fine for early game content (~Chapter 8 and earlier) and gives people something fun to play with. I'll probably change it at some point.

However, I was wondering how it would work out if I put M4 in AUG's spot. This would have some benefits like the extra 10% damage from AR-15's skill on targets that M4 marked, and AK-12 having a constant 100% crit rate, although it would waste that buff when her skill activates lol. I mean I could always give her a suppressor, although evasion isn't really a priority for ARs.

With M4 in the first echelon, the IWS one would go back to being full meme Exodia with Stech filling M4's vacant spot.

While AUG is a good unit, her skill makes her a bit of a crapshoot. That puts her as more of a situational unit. M4A1 would give better consistency, especially when at mod2+. Your main combat team is pretty solid otherwise. Most upper level players use AN-94 over AK-12 due to her passive making for a slightly better damage dealer but AK-12 is still a solid choice. The tank and off-tank choices look pretty solid as well. I take it this is your daytime squad, right? I usually swap the off-tank of a handgun for night battles unless I'm facing Scouts (nights Scouts are irritating).

Exodia echelons are fun but they're really only good for farming and/or memes. You're putting all of your proverbial eggs in one basket when you make an Exodia formation. I have no comments on meme echelons otherwise; the sky is the limit there as long as it's just for messing around. They won't hold up so well in serious fights.

The good thing is that there are no bad shotguns in the game, just better choices. All of them can at least do the same basic job of soaking up enemy fire to more or less the same extent. They'll put in work if you really want them to.

The additional good thing with shotguns is that they're not worth raising dupes of if you aren't playing a no duplicate game, although you could make a case for SAT8 (not for much longer though). That's less work for said player.

I don't use her. The way I see it, there are already plenty of SG options in the game that fulfill the same roll and several are as good, if not better than Dana. The only Valhalla units I use are Jill, Sei, and Dorothy; the rest are ones I don't consider a priority right now. I may end up leveling and using them at some point in the future but they're far down the list.

Once P22 and HS2000 come out with Isomer, that cuts down Sei's usefulness considerably. P22 in particular is said to the best shield support HG by many players. I'm interested in testing that out once I get her.

Really strange thing I noticed (and other players) when I did my Core 8 runs: the score penalty kicked in. Was it a glitch or is it something everyone, myself included, overlooked? It's really odd.

Looks like I need to make a correction about what I said earlier. Only Core stage 8 has the "no points penalty for repeating it". I posted earlier that the entire Core no longer has the penalty and that was recently found to be incorrect. My apologies for the error.

Don't worry if you can't clear Core 8 (it is pretty tough). Clearing Core 6 and Core 3, depending on what you can handle, should still give you plenty of points for your aims if you don't care about ranking.

From one of the Theater guide makers:

Apparently MICA had a small little fine print about the no penalty for Phase 2... The Panel has looked into this, and found this piece of critical information left out; and was found on KR Server (KR Translation courtesy of Corsage)

2. The last zone of the Central Zone will not receive a reduction in points nor difficulty after being occupied.

Later after re reading ENs theater event guide by GFL, we saw it in small fine print and many overlooked the statement about that...

No Penalty is applied for Core 8 when it is Cleared, and hereby invalidating part of my original script and information about Centrum Zone. if you can't do core 8, you can't do core 8.
So, if you guys can try to clear Core 8, please give it a shot!

For the Gundams (Doppelsoldners), a RF+HG team is recommended due to them being armored units. Just about any general use rifles will work (WA2000, Lee-Enfield, etc.) but Grapecano is most recommended because of the power of her skillshot (4500% damage and never misses). IWS2000 and M14 mod are some more good choices.

You will also want HOCs, mainly BGM, for fight with Gundams to get rid of their shield. This is mandatory if they have 100% shield or you can't hurt them at all.

If you have a Taunt Fairy with an adequately leveled skill, you can use that to make the Gundams focus on that while you get rid of them. You may have to move a doll up to the 9 or 3 positions to extend your range so that your rifles can target them.

There are also some kiting techniques to slow them down enough to (hopefully) kill them before they can attack. Unfortunately, it's hard to describe without being wordy and this post is getting long enough as it is. You should be able to look up examples to emulate on YT.

Overall, the idea is to use maximum firepower on them before they can really do any damage, especially before they can use their grenade barrage.

Just note that, from Isomer onward, the armored units of the White Faction, Gundams and Uhlans included, will start to have evasion on top of the armor and shields, which makes them a problem in night battles. M200 really gets useful here if you have her. She's not required though. The same goes for rifles with more accuracy (SRS and T-5000) to some degree. The good thing for us is that we'll get a buff to AP ammo at that time to help.

Now that we've entered the Core Zone in Theater, I want to give some pointers:

  1. There is no longer a score penalty for repeating stages like in Phase 1, so stick with the hardest stage you can handle every day. The difficulty in the Core ramps up fast. Think of stages 1-3 as easy difficulty, 4-5 (arguably 6) as normal difficulty, and the rest as hard difficulty. Ideally, you want to be able to clear Core stage 8 as frequently as possible once it's unlocked but most players won't get that far. Stage 5 or 6 is where we'll see players falling off due to the higher difficulty.
  2. Even if you can't challenge the harder stages, you can still help out other Commanders by running what you can and contributing your parts to the HOC facility, Fire Position, until it's at Lv.3, then do the same for the fairy point facility, Air Control Center. Having access to all 6 HOC charges and 20 FCP makes the hard stages less difficult.
  3. Don't forget to send out the maximum amount of drones in your scouting bets for those sweet points!

I just finished the White Day event's unlocked story bits. Not too shabby. I find it funny how self-aware the writing is at times.

My first runs of Theater Mode went faster than I thought they'd go. I finished with just shy of 10k points and sent my scouts to the Intermediate area.

With Theater up shortly, I want to remind players that anyone can do the mode as long as you meet the minimum requirement (lv30+ account). Just take on what you can handle and treat it as an extra set of dailies that gives you prizes for the points you earn. Don't be concerned with the ranking element unless that's what you really want to be doing; it only gives you extra of what you can get normally. Oh, and don't forget that there are three levels of difficulty, so you aren't being thrown into the deep end here.

There are guides on Gamepress and GFLCorner that teach you how it's done. From what the foreign server players have said, explanations of how it works make it sound more complicated than it really is. Things will come together fast once you start playing it.

The general daily tasks are four things (skip what you can't or don't want to do):
  1. Clear the area with the support request for extra points.
  2. Clear one section on the hardest difficulty you can manage. Try to use the listed advantaged dolls here if you have them. You can even tuck them into a spare team that you don't use and get the bonus anyway.
  3. Scout using as much earned materials as you can.
  4. Upgrade the facilities you want using the remaining materials. Upgraded facilities help everyone, not just you.

I personally don't mind ranking rewards as long as they aren't exclusive rewards. For some time, I've been an advocate of changing the rewards structure of ranking events to where you can get all of the rewards, even fairies with the exclusive talent and special equipment, just from playing the map and meeting reasonable (i.e. what most can easily achieve) score thresholds. Think of the 88,888 points rewards from the CT ranking map but for each prize instead of having to meet any ranking brackets. Then you just beef up the gems and resources prizes for the ranking brackets and have people play for bragging rights if that's what they want. Then, after some time has passed, put all of the prizes into the Black Market. All but one of them (9A-91's scope from Deep Dive) so far are just collector's items rather than stuff with any practical value.

That said, Theater Mode doesn't work the same way. There are no exclusive rewards here. You can get the new HOC just from playing and racking up points normally. Heck, you can even get it up to around 2* fairly easily and then wait for another chance later to get more of her central data the same way (or wait for AT4 to get added to the Analysis pool). AT4 isn't really that amazing that anyone needs a maxed version of her any time soon.

The only perk ranking would give you is earning more of her data (up to a max of 4*-ing her) now than later. The three HOCs we started with are still the best ones and we get those for free. The rest is farmable stuff and a dumb medal.

Theater Mode rewards for this cycle. As it's noted in the tweet, AT4's central data will eventually get added to the general pool. Even if you get #1 in ranking, there's no way to 5* this HOC right off the bat. Just run it as far as you're comfortable with and enjoy the rewards!

For the vouchers (Tangerine Coins), you can only get up to 60 per day. For medals and doll drops, you can get as many as your resources and patience allow for the duration of the event.

Roadmap for April is out



Anniversary is in May, so that will be busy with all of the goodies we're getting (1st time gems bonus reset, True Core Mask, and probably a general rate-up). I'm not 100% sure but we may get Isomer over the summer.

Yeah, it's currently at 9 stage clears a day. The rework lowers it to 6 per day. It's not much but it's still less you're expected to do (if you can be bothered to do dailies in the first place).

The part I like the most is not needing to do 28 repairs a day and instead lowering it down to just 3. The 100 weekly repairs has been straight up deleted. Even though I found ways to get through all of the dailies in minimal time, these are the ones that help me the most. I think that shaving off even a little of the tedium is a step in the right direction.

The new client's changes to dailies and weeklies have been translated. It's only a matter of time before EN gets the entire client update or at least the more pressing parts.

2020 March saw daily and weekly tasks revamped in accordance to the newly introduced enemy unit capture system. A lot of annoying long chains of tasks were removed.

I forgot to mention that HOC sample tasks have been slightly changed to merge humanoid and mechanical kill tasks into one.

The primary reward items of interest, gacha tokens, hasn't changed if you do all tasks. Two new items were introduced as well and it'd be of best interest that players don't use them immediately.

This rework is actually applicable to the newer EN and JP servers as long as tasks and rewards related to enemy capture are removed.

Yes, QBU only starts charging stacks once her cooldown ends.

[Active]: Begin charging after skill cooldown ends, gaining 1 charge stack every second, up to a maximum of 4 stacks. When skill is used, aim for 1 second, then deal 2.5 ~ 5x damage to the enemy with highest HP based on the current number of charge stacks. All stacks will be consumed on skill use; Additionally, deal 1.5x damage to enemies within a radius of 1.5 units. [Passive]: Every 3rd normal shot on the same target will deal 1.5x damage to enemies within a small radius.

Imoko's much less loved daughter, because at some point she apparently adopted a Kongou class Battlecruiser. Unlike G36 who gets more costumes than any 2 dolls combined, QBU has had all of... 1.

Performance-wise, she joined the weird rifle pile by being another theoretically good on paper weapon that has issues in practical field use. Basically, every few times she fires at an enemy, she causes an explosion with a 1.5 unit radius, and when she pops her active, she hits for less than a normal small bamboo's worth of damage and then causes an explosion on top.

The bamboo skill adjustment was a boon for her, since EN will never have to deal with her dumb 8s original cooldown and can now fire it off at 4s, making her usable as an anti-medium-scale unit, kinda handy vs paradeus, but otherwise not exceptional.

Was actually handy in Shattered Connexion, but kind of questionable before then. YMMV.

I got ADS on my first pull. I'm in the process of fattening my resources back up, so I can put the rest on hold until I get them through either dailies or a general rate-up. It's not like I have any pressing need for them any time soon.

Okay, I got the last of my crates for the event and made my last ranking attempts. I hope I get Top 10% but those score ranks have been really shifting over the past couple of days. If only I was able to kill those 89k tanks at the bottom, my score would have broken 1 million points. I just couldn't understand what I was doing wrong there.
