The 3 storylines are roughly occurring chronologically for the characters but at different times. The video games take place after the books; which the show is based on. Ciri is a kid you sicko.

Yes, you're right. The woman in that case argued she was entitled to extra pay (not overtime) merely because she was working a graveyard shift, not because she was working a shift over 8 hours extended over two different calendar days. It's a different scenario.

What your employer is doing is legally suspect. See a labor lawyer.

Sorry it's late and I may be reading that wrong. Where does it say they're not required to pay overtime? I see that it's not considered a split shift, but that's because it's not. It's a full shift between two days.The issue is it's 10 hour shift and I'm supposed to be getting 2 hours of overtime like I would get if I worked a day shift.

They can do that if they decide that a work shift ends at 12am. But if you come back in again at 6pm that's called a split shift and you get overtime. I live in California but my workplace doesn't do it that way. If work from 7pm to 7am then I'm getting 4 hours of overtime for that shift.

i also work as an emt and same here after 8 hours doesn't matter if it's 11:59pm-11:59am you're getting overtime after 8 lol. every job i've been at is this way. i don't know what the deal is.

So they see derp only three 10 hour shifts instead of the actual 4 10 hour shifts it is. We get time and a half after 8 here that's how it is. So they gave me 6 hours time and a half and not 8 for the week.

yup. Even responded to the San Bernardino attack a few years ago. Fire and PD got recognized but our company didnt really. Despite emts making minimum wage and medics starting at $17

My new job will require me driving a bit and theyre giving me a 12k/year auto allowance so I just assumed a new car came with the job.

Something about this story doesn't add up. 40 minutes of CPR? For those of you who don't know, high quality chest compressions are tiring as hell. ACLS has you switch who gives compressions every 2 minutes or so. If you aren't giving good quality compressions, a code arrest of that length there is a high chance of anoxic brain injury, even if you do get ROSC. Doesn't mean the guy got a good outcome.

And if it was a code arrest, I really don't get why they wouldn't want an IV, unless the focus was just BLS until the plane landed, to which fucking around with limited resources trying to get a fluid bolus in when the guy needs high quality compressions and you only got 2 people to handle that might not be the best management decision.

For all we know, they handed off a vegetable to EMS.

I've worked codes that long where they return with full neurological function. But yeah, not likely. Possible, but I'd expect a retired nurse to be able to get an IV pretty quickly.
