Ah yeah sorry. Not all of it, but some of it. It's mostly about my frustration with how they adapted the Ciri storyline.

Also, just to correct myself earlier, Triss wasn't auburn but chestnut. But, depending on what you take as source material, could indeed be fairly called a red head

Books describe her hair as chestnut, which is a brown and red coloring. In The Lady of the Lake it's further noted as "ginger" and while this usually pertains to redheads, in some cases it also means a brown red color.

OK I've watched all 8 episodes now.

Very good overall, does start a bit rocky but gets better for sure. However, I think it stands up much better as a stand alone thing. As someone who's read the books, I found it very frustrating how much the show deviated from them (and straight up left a load of stuff out).

Ciri's story, in particular, was particularly irksome.

~ Ciri isn't supposed to make her way to Brokilon while fleeing Cintra, she does it fleeing from a suitor. It's there that Geralt chances upon her, NOT later on after saving the merchant from the ghouls.
~ The drinking of the water happens after the Dryads have claimed Ciri and Geralt argues that she's his by destiny, and the water not turning her into a Dryad is pretty much the only reason Geralt wins that argument
~ Mousesack isn't killed by a bloody Doppler, he bumps into Geralt and Ciri on the edge of Brokilon
~ Etc.

~ Needs more Rience

Ugh.

Aaaactually, it's supposed to auburn, not red. But then Fringilla Vigo isn't supposed to be black either; they wanted diversity over exact descriptions, however.

I'm watching episode 3 right now, and I think it's been good so far, but there are some parts that are hard to watch as someone who's read the books, that a newcomer shouldn't have the same issues with. How Dandelion got his lute, for example, was completely omitted except for a throw away line. Lots of little big things like that.
