Prince of Persia Sands of Time for PS2

The PS2 controllers had a button that would let you turn the analog sticks off for some bizarre reason I don't know. Prince of Persia had a really strange bug where the rumble from combat in the game would cause the button to get triggered. Before I knew that, I'd be fighting a battle and suddenly the prince would start moving in the weirdest directions and wouldn't do what I was trying to make him do. I'd use up all of my sand reversing and trying to redo what got screwed up, but it was no use, I kept dying over and over. Finally stood up, took off my headphones, and smashed them on the ground. After that I researched it and found out that if you disable the rumble in the game, it will solve the problem.

Incidentally, I let my dad's one co-worker borrow the game after I had beaten it and he never gave it back. As much as the game pissed me off, that annoyed me more in the long run.

When it was coming out, I was in college, it was winter, and I swung by a Target after classes to see how bad the line was, there were enough spots in line that I could have gotten in line and gotten one, but I didn't have a winter coat or anything and would have frozen outside, I knew by the time I grabbed my coat and got back I wouldn't be able to get a spot in line, so I missed out. Then another batch was released and a Target or Best Buy that was like an hour away announced that they'd have some, so a classmate and I got in a car early in the morning and drove all the way there, were in line and would have been able to get one, but there were people in front of us who were there to get an XBox or something, and the store ran out of stock of XBoxes and the people who were going to buy them went and bought Wiis instead, thus depleting the stock before our turn came up, so we got nothing. Finally, I knew another batch was coming out, so I decided to check the local Walmart the night before, they had enough spots in line that if I got in line I was going to be guaranteed to get one, so we lined up in the garden center and stayed there all night until the store was able to sell them at like 6 or 7AM. I bought Kirby: Squeak Squad while in line and played it for a bit, also slept for a little bit as well. That time I finally got my Wii, but I don't even think I was interested in any of the games that were available for it at the time, so I just had Wii Sports for a bit.

In college I worked a 4 10-hour day work week, and aside from my bad sleeping habits at the time screwing with me, I loved it. You could do everything you needed to do around the house and run errands and whatnot on Friday, and then you had Saturday completely free to do whatever the heck you wanted.

Honestly, they were probably low budget fries and not that great, but when I was 13, a college kid I was friends with took me skiing for the first time and we went to eat at the ski lodge afterward. They had these batter dipped fries that tasted absolutely amazing. We figured it was probably because I was really hungry after skiing for a while. I never forgot those fries.
