Anyway, I asked him about it, & that's when he layed it on me. He's 5'7 in height, and as a kid he wanted nothing more than to play basketball professionally. (He's also had issues with the way he looks, as he isn't the most attractive, but I already knew that) He's actually pretty good btw, which probably hurts him even more so Every since that convo, everytime I do something i'm passionate in, I can't help but think what it would be like If I couldn't participate due to genetic factors/mental factors that are out of my control Hell, same could be said with looks. Some people like certain height, as well as some people are just born with a... 'disadvantaged' face, or a unfortunate mental condition. It really does suck when you are unwillingly bought into a world, find something or someONE you have a passion for, just so you can fail due to shit you can't control Have you guys or someone you know, ever realized you wouldn't be able to do/participate in something you love, due to genetic and or mental factors you have no control over? --- So THIS is how you make a signature.. |

| AYCAMA 08/19/19 2:30:04 PM #1 | After 2 decades of struggles, failures and despair, I've finally decided to go ahead and call it a wrap. I've finally decided enough is enough, and thrown in the towel in this chaotic game of life. I must admit, it was veeeery sad and immensely difficult to accept permanent 'defeat' and even now, I can no longer enjoy life properly. However, once you fully understand that in life, not everyone can be a winner, and that sometimes in life shit just wasnt in the cards and be people just get the short end of the stick, it's sooo relieving... No more struggle, suffering, mental gymnastics, despair or shame.. It feels GOOD. Or maybe I just haven't felt this relief in such a long ass time, I'm not sure. But it doesn't matter, I feel.. peaceful. Yeah sure, my dreams will always just be dreams, but you know what? That's OK, that's reality TL:DR - We can't all be winners, it's impossible. It's VERY much OK to accept defeat. Take it from me |
