Technically yeah, but honestly, it seems to go from winter to summer the past few years, there's not much spring in the middle. I think last year it went from 40's to 80's in a week and then it just stayed hot.

I live in the Smoky mountain chain, and when it starts to turn into fall, driving down the mountain, it's hard to find a nicer scene. It's just unbelievable to look at.

If the cost was the same all around, yes I think I would likely prefer the North. Financially, i'd rather live in a decent sized home on a lot of land where I am, which as mentioned, I likely wouldn't be able to do unless I received a pretty major salary increase to move back up there.

Nashville is just a flat out awesome city though, the music scene is unmatched in comparison.

It has it's positives and negatives. The weather sucks also, it's so damn hot and humid always, not a lot of real cold months. I farm part-time and doing so in 100 degree weather is brutal.

I wouldn't have been able to buy the home and land that I did here up North though, before I bought my house I was in a 2 bedroom apartment with water included at $385 a month. When I lived in PA, I was paying $900 a month for a one bedroom with nothing included.

Well quick recap, I was born in NY, grew up in PA. At age 18 I moved to Atlanta, stayed for 10 years, and now i've been in Tennessee for nearly 10 years.

The people are a lot more friendly, same with store clerks, bank employees, hell even the DMV workers i've had a positive experience. Where I lived up North, people more kept to themselves, didn't want to really make small talk. A lot of businesses have rude workers and employees.

With that said, the quality of life was much better up North, the areas are nicer, it's cleaner, there's higher standards especially for vehicles and whatnot. A lot of people down South, and i'll say this as nice as I can, aren't as clean. The Walmart stigma of the people who shop there, are basically everywhere. Torn, stained clothes, fat women wearing clothes wayyy too small for them, etc. The poverty difference is very apparent.

A lot of areas in TN proudly wave their confederate flags also, on the back of trucks, stickers, and license plates. You see it somewhat commonly on a daily basis, and no one seems to care.

The difference in police is night and day, i'm perfectly comfortable with the police in this area, they are friendly, helpful, will stop to make sure you are okay even if you are just putting oil in your engine in a parking lot. The crime rate is also much lower than it was up North.

North loves hockey and pro football, South loves college football and baseball. It's rare to even find a hockey fan in this region, I work in a building with about 110 people, I know of 2 hockey fans. probably closer to 80 football.

Cost of living here is ridiculously low, property taxes are very low also.

The weird part of this story is that first of all, this is something you can buy and secondly, that it goes for more money than will ever pass through my hands.

Just about every arena nowaways is sponsored with some kind of business name in the arena name. Loe Louis Arena in Detroit was one of the last remaining ones that represented a person and not a business, but even then a couple years ago they got a new arena and it's "Little Caesars Arena" now.

It's all just a game. When I was in basic, it seemed like the drill sergeants fed off of each other, and you could catch one every now and again turning away quick trying not to laugh. It's like they compete at who can say the funniest shit and trying to get a private to crack a smile so they could blow up on them.

If you don't take it seriously, and know that they don't really want to kill you when they are screaming inches from your face, it's not bad at all.

I remember standing in the chow line, and on the other side of the glass was a heavy kid sitting down eating his lunch, and the drill sergeant was screaming at him through the glass "GOD CHEATED YOU!" and the others had to step away they were laughing so much.

Cam just doesn't seem like himself: his throwing still seems off and his mobility definitely is. Heard some people suggest he reaggravated his foot a bit(he hurt it in preseason).
Still not even the biggest problem though. 4th&1/2 yard, with a giant tank of a QB and the game on the line, and you run some complicated gadget play? Against a defense that's been playing well all game? Plus, why have Cam throw 51 times? That would be a lot for Brady or Brees!

They have a damn fine RB also, use him more. He can run up 100 yards a game if you give him the carries, easily.

A lot of people pretty much said "You can't taste the difference" with the whopper was pretty much BS, that the burger wasn't bad but it's clearly not beef.

I'm not really buying into it, I won't knock it til I try it but my expectations are low. I have no reason to not just eat real chicken and beef regardless.

This reminds me of a story

It was a warm spring night, about 5 months ago. I was parked outside of my wife's job, waiting for her shift to end because our other car was in the shop. She was slightly delayed, so I just sat there listening to music with the headlights on. It's one of those cars where they just turn on always, and you can't click them off with the key in the ignition.

So suddenly, a dog walks in front of my parked car. He noticed me, perked up a tad and I got a couple of lazy tail wags. Then he reverted his attention, began to squat down, and took a pretty impressive shit. Right in the lights of my car, like he wanted me to watch as it happened.

It made me think a bit, I even took a pic as it happened because it felt like a special moment.



I realized in that moment, things could be worse than that steamy pile of shit a dog just dropped in front of my car. I could live in California.

I've had all 3 for 4-5 years, but i've had Netflix the longest.

I use Netflix more often, excluding the Hulu live TV which I mainly use for sports and Shark Tank marathons.
