While you might have had some people from the black community advocating for it, Reagan didn't do this for them. Especially considering they wanted to stop it from spreading further within their community, but it wasn't drug dealers alone getting punished. Anyone with crack was severely punished. It had many racist undertones when it was first implicated by Nixon and Reagan double-downed and created a major disparity in drug charges. Again, you have a time period where white people are using drugs more than ever before but they weren't getting life sentences. Coke use goes on ignored while crack becomes the literal devil despite all the blood shed over the ever-growing cocaine drug empire. It wasn't until Reagan that incarceration rates tripled. Specifically incarceration of minorities, mainly from the black community. And it wasn't because they were doing more drugs than white people. |

Coke gets a pass since that was typically only used by white people meanwhile crack which was pretty much the only drug black people could access and ran rampant through inner-city black neighborhoods carried much heavier consequences. Reagans war on drugs wasn't a war on drugs since the passed legislation treated drugs differently. It was a war on the black community and the beginning of mass incarceration of Black people which Kickstarted the prison industrial complex. |

But because this is so personal for you, you try and force this contrived exception on everyone else, but at the end of the day it makes no difference. Because again "biologic woman" and "genotypic woman" mean the exact same thing. Nobody is saying "all squares are rectangles" what a shitty strawman argument. This is akin to saying "all squares are quadrilaterals". Speaking of shitty strawman arguments, I never said anything about you ignoring. I was saying you react way less dramatically. When it's addressed. Either you're doing this on purpose or this is being taken so personally it's making an impact on your cognitive abilities because it looks like you don't know how to read. There's nothing unscientific about referring to a specific aspect of science with a blanket term for the sake of convenience. |
