I've never seen it so I don't have much of an opinion.

I have seen it before though.

Youd choose 1 of the 2 bottom options, whichever feels right.

What makes it "feminist"?

Charlie's Angels was all about hot chicks using their sexuality to disarm men and do spy shit unexpectedly. It's a male fantasy.

This new thing takes away all of the sexuality and just makes them badasses that kick ass. It's a feminist re-envisioning to reconcile it because it doesn't fit in the "me too" era.

And audiences rejected it.

It frightens me that creatures like this could be behind me in line at the bank.

Dude, height has a major advantage in the NBA. This isn't really debatable.

You can get by at shorter heights at the point guard position since it relies on a different skill set, but point is probably the most athletic position on the floor and the one in which women would have the least likely chance of ever being able to match up with men.

The only NBA position a woman could even theoretically play would be shooting guard, where she'd have to be a spot-up perimeter shooter like J.J. Reddick. But that woman would be utter dogshit on defense, so even that's not realistic.

It sounds like you agree with me.

And theres a reason the 76 Tacko Fall is barely getting any minutes on the Celtics right now, because he needs to develop in all areas of the game besides being tall.

It was actually easier than I thought. Turns out there have been 25 players UNDER 59 in the NBA that were still among the best in the world and were drafted into the NBA. If I open that up to heights 59 to 60 (still very much average), that number goes into the hundreds.

Well that was fun, want to try another angle or just give up?

If I had the time or the interest I could go through the entirety of NBA history to rip your paper thin argument to shreds. The point stands that being tall is an advantage in maybe 2 areas of a game with many factors to be successful.

There are plenty of tall women in the WNBA and theyd still get torched by shorter NBA point guards because as ive said countless times, men are naturally stronger than women.

And it seems as if the vast, vast majority of posters here agree with me (currently 69 to 8 in the poll).

I just explained why your argument fails. Being tall is not a massive advantage in the NBA, it only benefits you in 1 or 2 areas.

There are plenty of 7 foot and beyond guys in the NBA right now, and almost none of them are all stars.

Nah they have an unfair advantage and should only be restricted to a league just for people like them.

The problem is you're now narrowing the definition of sport to contact sport in order to make a point. My initial post went on about the physical advantages men have for a reason. That's not up for debate. The point is not every sport does or needs to revolve around things men have an advantage in. It's okay for there to be sports where women can be on more equal footing.

Yes, sure, stuff where there is no physical aspect, absolutely. Those can be non-gender exclusive because gender doesnt matter in sports like that.

Natural gender VERY much matters in most sports, because most sports are based on physical prowess.

I completely respect and admire all female athletes just as much as male athletes, but I also acknowledge that biologically the male body is bigger and stronger than the female body so it makes sense for them to compete separately.

Id hate to be the best female basketball player on Earth and have LeBron James come out as a transgender woman, join the WNBA and score 840 points a game.

I was honestly going to take this topic seriously until you said this. Yeah right like straight men are going to pretend to be trans to win in women's basketball, sure.

Well I mean Badminton too. I checked Wikipedia and they do in fact play mixed doubles at the Olympics.

That was a good one, but to be serious, those arent contact sports.

In virtually all major sports there is a MAJOR disparity between the physical capabilities of men and women. Theyre not separated because of sexism, theyre separated to keep the competition fair.

The best female athletes should be commended, they have pushed themselves to the absolute limit physically, but that limit is simply not nearly as far as a man can go because men are biologically bigger and stronger.

Transgender women can absolutely be welcomed in pro wrestling (and they have) because its all scripted entertainment.

That's why you are not in a position where you have to actually be educated on the subject so as to make the call. Just as another example, I'm sure you don't know a lot about resolving nuclear reactions either, also why you're not working in a chem lab.

i mean the rock is a great guy to watch but from what i can tell, he doesnt really do wrestling anymore. is wrestling just mostly dissing then a badly choreographed fight? im not being a hater, cuz i did overall enjoy watching the bit

Youll get a mix of everything with most companies. Like youll have those spectacle matches where its more about the characters/drama than the actual fight, and also ones where its 100% about the match/performance in the ring and it might just be two generic looking dudes with bland personalities.

If you get a match with both spectacle AND performance, thats where the true art form is showcased.
