Yeah I don't buy the "circumcision ruined my life despite everyone in my country getting circumcised" but there is literally no logical reason to do it to 99% of the children that receive it.

The main argument isn't that it ruined their life, but it was a permanent and unnecessary medical procedure that was done without consent. Either way it doesn't discredit their wishes for stop routine circumcision. It sounds ridiculous to a lot of people, but it at least brings attention to infant circumcision.

Routine circumcision is often medically unnecessary. TC's situation is one of the rare instances it had to be done due to infection. There is nothing wrong with having a foreskin. UTI and phimosis are treatable. Washing it in the shower barely takes a few seconds. Yes circumcision does reduce the chance of penile cancer, but of course cutting off a part of the penis reduces the chances of getting penile cancer.

One thing I find very odd about circumcision is that it's usually done a few days after birth. Yet doctors tell parents of un-circumcised boys not to pull back the foreskin until the boy is at least 18 months as that can damage the glans.

Did he state when he was circumcised? I mean sure if it was done a few days after birth then a normal human wouldn't be able to remember it but if it was done later at say 2 months old then there is a risk that such a traumatic experience becomes one of the first memories of an individual.

The foreskin will loosen up before puberty starts. Never heard of of parents being told to do it at 18 months. What's there to be confused about? You don't cut off the foreskin so you can wait for it to naturally peel back. The foreskin is there to protect the glans.

Why did you get circumcised? If you have phimosis you'll usually get a cream and get told to do some stretching. Sure it takes months to peel back the foreskin all the way, but it's way better than getting circumcised and losing an important part of your penis. Don't let American culture pressure you into feeling bad for having a foreskin.

Of course people that don't eat rice every day don't see the usefulness of a rice cooker. Stovetop rice doesn't compare to rice cooker rice. Sure it's easy to cook rice on stovetop, but it's also easy to screw it up. If you have to cook rice multiple times a day having to stand by the stove for 20 minutes is tedious.
