Suddenly it makes a lot of sense why he's suddenly badmouthing Marvel. I was wondering why an acclaimed director had a stick up his bum about a bunch of goofy superhero movies but now it all makes sense. Kinda hilarious of Warner bros to go that route.

Yeah. Half the cast died (both onscreen AND offscreen) and the other half got him too'd, so you'd think they'd do reshoots or try to rewrite the story.

That means they already finished shooting and have written the story for it too, and are now in post production. They seemed very unsure of what to do with the story a few months ago.

I Also think the hate for it is way overblown. I enjoyed the game and thought it was another fun arkham game, a series I've loved immensely. If anything arkham knight is the one I think is worse, if nothing else then for how utterly disappointing it was, and the fact that the car sections really ARE as awful as everyone says, it wasn't an exaggeration like I previously thought.

Arkham Origins was just a fun romp through Gotham in winter time, which is the best season for Gotham, if not the most iconic season for the city. The boss fights weren't half bad either.

When there was an organisational change and shift in structure so our team technically had no boss for a couple of months. Or I should say supervisor.

Also gargoyles, one of the greatest shows of all time, should not be compared to... some post 90s cartoon made in the 2000s. Greg weisman is in his own league and only his other shows are comparable in the same category, ie spectacular Spider-Man and young justice.

Its good. Not groundbreaking in the grand scheme of things or anything but a good example of anime style week to week storytelling done with a western cartoon. Good enough that other western cartoons started trying to mimic the style

People keep saying this, so I wanted to ask what are these cartoons that mimic the style?

How come airbenders are the ones that have the ability to also control all the other elements? Why wouldn't the other tribes also have an avatar? What's so unique about airbending?

Also they automatically assume the bald kid is the avatar I thought it was going to be more of a reveal, or is it kind of a matrix neo the one situation where you see how he becomes the one and controls all the elements in some epic fashion.

It's a massive step down from AC Origins

Why?

I played Origins this year and it was one of the greatest games ever, I couldn't believe this was the same series that gave us tripe like unity and syndicate.

The ancient Egypt setting, badass pyramids and tombs, the most likable, heck greatest protagonist of the series (and one of the best protagonists of all time in gaming) it was the whole package. Oh and game was super fun too. Not to mention the DLC that I recently finished, god was curse of the pharaohs good bang for your buck or what.

Just a spectacular game all around. I worry that Odyssey might improve gameplay, but have lamer protagonist in exchange for better gameplay.

You know what bothers me is when dragon quest is judged as a jrpg for the whole genre.

I mean yeah technically it IS but there's a huge difference between FF 6, one of the greatest games of all time and all 11 intentionally outdated terrible dragon quest games.

One features character development, a fun battle and leveling system, a captivating story, and the other is a series the Japanese love that intentionally does not want to have character development or a fun battle system like magicite in ff6. Hell for the longest time battles were in first person, the worst camera mode of all time! You can't get much worse than that. Hell once upon a time they were gonna make dq9 a fun action rpg but the Japanese were actually in an uproar over that (can you believe it??!!) and insisted they change it back to a boring turn based Rpg.

Nothing wrong with turn based rpgs as ff 4-10 have shown, but these games also add an extra oomph to the mechanics that make battles and leveling incredibly fun. Hell ff 5 alone makes me gleeful when I get exp, and job points, and more, and it's all done with somewhat likable characters. Even with dq tries to do job system it's just so boring.

I actually enjoyed rpgs once upon a time but dq is like none of those, it intentionally has inconveniences the other jrpgs improved upon long ago, from the fricking snes era. And yet the Japanese are still obsessed with it. Don't know what that says about them.
