at least compared to retail, service, community/government, labor, trade, etc. jobs I've had --

is that everything is a tug of war for liability. Someone is always trying to divert blame elsewhere, or find something to snitch on to make themselves look better/more competent at the expense of someone else's mistake.

I get that catching mistakes is important to avoid patient harm - but literally it can be the most minuscule mistake, and people are rewarded for catching it. Usually when you receive some sort of accolades it's from finding something someone else did wrong -- it's never something like, "wow, you really made me feel comfortable about ___ and helped me cope with the situation," or "wow, you really went out of your way to make sure I'm informed," or "wow, you really give excellent service!" In retail if you'd receive accolades it was usually for one of those reasons, like someone would tell corporate that you really helped out by special ordering x item or knowing a lot about products, you helped someone locate something that wasn't at that particular store by letting them know where else to go or contacting other stores, just being friendly, etc.

In retail it was about what YOU did, not about what someone else DIDN'T do.
I know you could say that's just the nature of capitalism and blah blah "dog eat dog," but I literally never felt this mentality at any retail or service job, or any contracting company I've worked for, at any factory or warehouse, at WIC, etc.

I recently received some congrats for catching a mistake someone made, and it feels cheap getting thanks at the expense of someone else's mistake. Catching a mistake should just be your job, not an accomplishment -- and someone's mistake shouldn't be brought to light anymore than it needs to be for liability purposes.

Hulu or Netflix?

I haven't had Hulu in a minute - so I don't know what its current state is like. Same with Netflix.
But in the past Hulu was miles ahead of Netflix with its Criterion collection and Full Moon collection -- plus they've always had a better selection of independent/lower-budget horror films (and not the straight to DVD stuff that there's like hundreds of on Amazon Prime). Hulu also has a much wider variety of television shows.
Also never been a fan of most of the Netflix exclusives.

What is your opinion on the new Pokmon S&S and the drama surrounding it?

I think the Dexxit thing is dumb as fuck. It's been explained that the majority of the Pokemon taken out either 1.) dominated competitive play and ruined diversity, 2.) were starters or legendaries, or 3.) are Pokemon nobody gives a fuck about anyways like Luvdisc and Nosepass.
I think THAT part is total overreaction.

As for the rest, though. I don't know how I feel about the exp share. I think it's cool they're getting rid of EVs, because those were so tedious.
BUT I don't think it's cool that the game is so short, that you can't capture higher level Pokemon, and a few other things.

So I'm torn.

I think it looks pretty, despite popular opinion. I think the Pokemon designs are the coolest since Gen 5. I LOVE the starters. I like Switch

I haven't been enough places to make a judgement.
I like most rust belt cities, because a good portion of them have a lot of counterculture and personality. I'm sure a lot of Southern cities have some amazing food -- and certain parts of the South have some really beautiful architecture and nature.

It'd probably be like - some city in Kansas or the Dakotas or something.

People who have negative things to say about Cleveland are just boring. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Cleveland, and it has more personality than most mid-large sized cities.

But I can admit now being in Michigan that the rest of the Ohio is kind of bad outside of Cleveland. Akron is trashy but somewhat tolerable. Columbus sucks. Toledo and Youngstown are gross. Cincinatti is the south.

Ugh, now he's complaining about the randomness of rolls in D3 compared to D2, and talking about trading again.

The randomness is LITERALLY what the genre is built upon! He keeps comparing D3 to WoW, but then on the same token is complaining about the randomness and wanting trading so there's more interaction with strangers online? It sounds like he's the one who wanted an MMO

How were the mechanics in D3 similar to WoW, like the guy who made this video is claiming?
Why is he bringing up the real money auction house, when that got taken out and fixed in due time and made the game tremendously better? He's also saying there were no endgame challenges? That also changed big time - there's WAY more endgame content than D2 EVER had.

Why is he saying that no skill resets are a good thing, in a game where you literally kill Pindleskin and Mephisto for hundreds of hours on the same character - and the genre's sole purpose is to replay endlessly to find better loot? Why is that good for novice players to realize once it's too late that they made poor decisions?

He's also saying that there's less creativity in the skill optimization in D3? You literally choose between all the abilities, as well as the runes attached to each one. You're not forced to min/max anymore in D3 than you are in D2. Honestly I was LESS creative in D2 when I was a preteen making 1001 different Zealadins or Meteorb sorceresses. There was also a huge imbalance in D2 - like who the hell played Druids or Assassins, or Necromancers without gimmicks and very specific, difficult to attain gear?

He's also defending trading in games, as if it's EVER implemented well? You'd literally just have people give you free good shit in D1 and D2 -- and the fact that the drops were shared made it so you literally fought over who would click faster. That was NEVER a good system. D3 did everything SO much better, and made me actually want to play with my greedy-ass friends.

I'm getting so mad at this video.

"Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE

A Gnoll Barbarian who was abandoned as a pup in front of a coliseum, and was raised to be a pit fighter and eventually won his freedom. Interesting facts would be he's fucked a goat, my main inspiration for his bravado and showboating was LeBron James, and he doesn't know women well because he was raised by tons of macho males in the coliseum.

A Human Shaman who was basically a voodoo woman. She had a spirit animal that was a giant white vulture that had a soul of an Eladrin banker inside of it. The vulture was bound to her, but absolutely hated her because it was a classist, racist Eladrin. Interesting facts about her were that she carried tons of human body parts in her satchels - including eyes and ears, and she got into necromancy trying to revive an old love of hers?
