Nintendo/Game Freak can't really win either way with this, if they reveal everything ahead of time people get pissed and if they withhold info other people get pissed.

[Ha, I was kinda waiting and hoping for you to enter something with her again. I still wouldn't say I'm really a fan, but shes not bad and the lyrics are interesting enough that Im glad this isnt an instrumental track. Still... that violin might be the best part...]

Violin is still great, though I'd say the absolute best part ofthe song is the first verse. Singing about darkness painting over the ominous light while flourishing that cape, she has all the makings of a vampire queen and/or final boss fight. Absolutely spectacular.

The other verses weren't able to live up to the high expectations from the initial greatness. They were never bad, of course, but not 10/10 like the first one. Though the latter part of the song does have more violin playing, so it probably evens out in the end anyway.

Of course I had to drop a nom for one of my favorite female vocalists.

The vampire connection is one I've made myself, this wouldn't be out of place in Castlevania.

[I really enjoyed this, but dont feel like talking about it right now; its quite late at the time Im listening to this and I need a break.]

I know they don't identify as animals or shapeshifters, but some of those lyrics make me wish this was literally about a shapeshifter war--with the "if you come as snakes, we'll become birds" it's actually pretty easy to read the song that way.

Part of me wants to give the song a 10 purely for that sort of image, but it's just not very exciting. For a metal song, it's really rather quiet and the chorus of HU HU HU HU HU HU HU HU is not as intimidating as they seem to wish it was.

Also, isn't it kinda weird that we have two songs referencing Genghis Khan? Especially songs that are so different?

[Final Thoughts: If this were louder, it'd work as a wrestler's theme. I can just picture someone posing as fireworks go off and the audience starts the HU HU HU HU chant.

As usual, this is another song that's better than I make it sound. I love the choice of imagery here and the repeated animal metaphors, and how easy it is to imagine a magical shapeshifter war.]

While I'm not a fan of the leveling/de-leveling system in TGL, I do love the ability to just roam endlessly hunting monsters. I've spent several hours just jumping into random other hunter's games and hunting together, it's a lot of fun.

Platinum #40 - Borderlands 3

Probably the easiest Borderlands platinum. Hardest trophy was getting a perfect score on the firing range. 20 seconds, 15 targets, and where and when they appear is completely random with no set patterns. Sometimes one would appear and immediately disappear.

Fortunately it can be done in co-op which mitigates the difficulty.

I think that's 7 plats for the month.

I also beat Iceborne (Shara Ishvalda is super cool) and made it to the Guiding Lands.

Outlaw Lullaby is actually the regular battle theme for one of the two towns in Yakuza Kiwami 2. I'd often draw out fights as long as possible just to hear the song for longer. And it's 100% Cowboy Bebop inspired.

PA PA YA! is supposed to just be a fun summer song, I think. Fills the tradition that the group has a song about food on every album, in this case Thai papaya salad. I actually tried it last time I went to a Thai restaurant solely based on the song, it was pretty good. F. Hero, the guest rapper, is apparently a big name Thai rapper.

If the noms had started more recently I would have nominated their single that dropped a few days ago, I have no idea what the lyrics mean apart from shanti meaning peace in Hindi, but I love the Bollywood feel of the song.

Even with the nerfs FL4K's critical Fade Away build still utterly melts badasses and bosses.

His pets are decent, they can revive you if you're playing solo which is fantastic.

Lost Izalith hurts my eyes and I try to spend as little time there as possible.

Bed of Chaos is definitely the worst boss in the series. Gimmick bosses are hit or miss and it's a major miss.

Don't you tell ME - It's definitely repetitive but it's an earworm for me and gets stuck in my head for weeks at a time

Crimson Cloud - Devil Trigger is better but Crimson Cloud is still great. Subhuman is the worst DMC5 battle theme and even that one works really well in context with the dynamic music changing with your style ranks.

Kill the Power - Skindred is super unique, I can't think of anyone else who really sounds like them

I love the hammer into clutch claw setups, now I can be a Beyblade full time.

Been using the Nyx Hammer and Nyx IG with 3 pieces of the Clockwork set and 2 pieces of the Artian set. Gives me Bombardier Secret (Bombardier up to LV5) and Ancient Divinity (higher status build on crits) and makes my sleep bombs quite strong. I usually get 4-5 sleeps, sometimes my cat triggers one too.

Huh, that is impressive. Don't think it would have helped that particular song--willing to try some of their other work, if you had a suggestion or two.

I would have agreed except for all those hilarious Blade Trinity stories that came out, like how Snipes wouldn't open his eyes during a scene where Blade wakes up so they had to CGI the eyes in.

This. Blade Trinity is memorable solely for all the stories of Snipes being an asshole on set.

IIRC there's a line in the movie where after Blade just walks away Ryan Reynolds' character goes "He hates me, doesn't he?" and that wasn't meant to be in the movie, it was just Reynolds speaking about how Snipes hated him.

On topic, for the MCU it's The Incredible Hulk and for non MCU it's Elektra. I actively forget that movie exists.
