The number of people who act as if their entire computer is forever compromised because a website showed their IP, or they are afraid someone has their IP address is wild. Nothing I can do to explain that just having an IP address =/= them having access to control your computer solves it too.

It annoys me when other people use such sites to troll on Discord. People who don't know any better end up getting panicked - then again I guess it's obvious they don't know better, seeing as they clicked a shady link from someone they don't know and expected ... who fucking knows what, a cat gif?

Actually had someone totally ditch their account on a server I mod the other day all because of this. Despite me and multiple people telling them that they got thoroughly trolled, and told them how and why.

... people are going to be people I guess. I guess when you're not aware of what all this stuff does, it can seem scary, especially if some troll laces their crap with empty threats.

No idea who you are but eevee was always an interesting pokemon to me, since nobody would ever raise an Eevee. You only ever acquired one to get her evolutions. Kind of sad.

The formulas that generate these are pretty wild. I imagine they're tied to Fourier series for the most part. If you want to see the formulas (using a different image host because my god they're big), here's the one for Eevee. It's enough to get the idea:

I'm living with a family friend in my hometown now so it's good to be back to somewhere familiar. Going to commute to class to save on dorms. I get to have my Dog here so that's cool. I had a couple interviews for work, but nothing fruitful yet. When school starts back I'm gonna hit up some of my favorite professors and see if they need a Student Instructor (History major, so the professor basically refers them to their students if they are struggling).

Kind of just rolling with the punches. How are you?

God I wish I could've brought a cat or two to uni, but they wouldn't let us have them in the dorms. :/

Anyhow, fine I guess. I'm taking a year off from school for a bunch of reasons, but school just started back for people who are attending and ... I guess I'm homesick? In the sense I consider my university more my home than my actual home. I loved being there, and it was a good escape from having to deal with all the family drama. Even moreso because I loved the professors (and moreso the more superficial stuff like good internet and good food). ;-;
