Tucson to Arizona typically takes closer to two hours. I've taken the drive quite a few times over the years.

I live in Tucson but never went to the UoA. I almost was going to go there but it just didn't work out that way. I did go to the local community college for two years though. I had a cousin go to the UoA and I think he liked it.

That being said, I don't think it's a very good town to live in overall, but I do like it over Phoenix simply because there's less people (most of the time it doesn't feel that way; it feels like there's a ton of people living in town) and also it's cooler than Phoenix (not by much but still).

If you dont mind, what are some factors that make it not a good town overall in your opinion?

I live in Tucson. The campus is pretty. The town itself is.... old. It has terrible road infrastructure and some of the worst drivers I have ever experienced.

Oh damn. Is there anything to do around there or do you have to drive somewhere else to do things?

Have you looked into the colleges in California?

Some in San Diego yeah. Theyre kind of hard to get into though as a transfer student. Most require 60 credits of transferable credits directly to your major which also includes very specific prerequisite courses. This is on top of admission rates also being significantly lower than most places.

I took some gen ed community college classes 9 years ago before I joined and only had a 3.5 GPA so it makes things kind of difficult.

I lived in California for 3 years and loved it there, but I would be worried about trying to make by with the GI Bill there without eating into my savings.

Some places have computer labs that you can use and or a free WiFi access point, but both usually have a time limit and its available in only that location.

Paying isnt a big deal its just outrageous that a company, especially American based, would charge so much for shit internet.

Worst part is the company is American based. They charge service members out the ass for garbage internet speeds because it knows its the only option.

If by "build character" you mean "remove any individual identity", then yes.
