Things did seem tough for her in the years that I had known her, she then lost a lot of weight and was looking sickly but looked and sounded much better the last time I saw her. I found out about her death 4 weeks after that.sorry to hear that man :( i'm very lucky that suicide hasn't affected any friends or family of mine. but it's surprising how many people have been affected or knew someone fairly close --- |

He never talked about it or even hinted at what he was going through.yeah, we get a lot of that from people who have been affected by suicide. it sucks because a lot of guys have grown up not being able to talk about how they feel or bottle up their emotions coz it's seen as 'unmasculine' it's even more sad because some of the suicides are attributed to losing a job, relationship break ups, poor mental health and other issues that a lot of other men face that could be easier if they opened up and spoke to other ppl about. but in their minds, the only way out for some men is to kill themselves which i feel bad about i read a statistic that suicide is the biggest cause of death for men under 40 in the UK. i'm sure it's the same for the US and most other western countries. and that alone made me sign up to be a charity volunteer --- |

Watchmen seemed promising in the first few episodes, but it turned out to be nothing but heavy-handed, contrived shit. and the only thing it was densely packed with was meaningless surface-level references to the original graphic novel that were only there so people could say "i understood that reference" and feel good about themselves. it completely missed the mark on anything deeper than that relating to the spirit of the original graphic novel.it can be very heavy handed, but i wouldn't say it was contrived shit. it's densely packed with ideas about american mass culture, race and superhero-ism in there i never read the original graphic novel and i still enjoyed it AvlButtslam posted... I liked the good place this year a lot but think it suffers a bit from an end of year pov by being a fourth season rather than something fresh. I also liked the end of the fucking world a lot but think s1 was better and for some reason in my head I think it and sex ed are too similar to both make a top 5i liked the first two seasons of the good place, but wasn't too fond of the rest. i think i stopped watching half way through S3. although i did binge watch it so maybe i needed a break i've not seen the second season of the end of the fucking world but absolutely loved the first dude you should watch fleabag, i think you'll enjoy it boxington posted...
