I always wondered if they validated whether the security guards did their job or not. Thanks for confirming.

Most of the time we have what's called a road patrol. 2 security higher ups that go to each location to see if your there. Most nights they don't show up. What sucked is that you weren't allowed to leave your location unless you called one of them. We'd leave to use the bathroom or buy food. Most nights, I'd just leave and come back within like 15 minutes. I was far enough away that even if they caught me they weren't that pissed.

Here's an interesting factoid: Here where I live in Canada, they didn't provide us with any form of protection. No cellphones, no flashlights, no pepper spray, no nothing. So if something ever happened, I'd just leave the scene and call my boss to take care of it. I don't get paid enough to protect a location without protection. Their excuse was that "it could be taken and used against us", which is nonsense. Not that it mattered much since I have a 1st dan belt in TKD, so I'm fine without it.

I wouldn't wish 16 hour days on anyone. Did a string of them back when I was younger, 12 in a row actually. Was working security. The money was amazing, but it tests your mental stability. And yes, my boss did get fired after that since its illegal to work someone that much.

Luckily this was around the time of Jumbo video/Blockbuster so I rented out a ton of movies/games to play while working there. I guarded a service tower a few miles from the city during the winter, behind a closed gate. The only thing I had to have was my car running the entire night to power my laptop, but I made a decent chunk of change from it so gas was change in comparison.

Great gig, hate that I lost it shortly after, due to me falling asleep on the job and being caught by the owner of the building showing up. But luckily I managed to keep my overall job due to me being the only one that actually showed up to work. Turns out every other security worker just locked the building up and went home to collect a paycheck for doing nothing. And before someone comments, I did do my rounds. It's just that since everything was locked up, those rounds only took about 5 minutes every hour. Wish I could go back and work that again, but the company got a lot of bad press and has since been absorbed by a much stricter company.

Too skinny, no curves, barely any cleavage. Truth be told beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Case in point: I like women to be a tiny bit shorter than me(I'm 5'8 1/2), and someone who has a tiny bit of weight on them(goes to the gym, but doesn't go to be fit, just goes so they don't look horrible in a bikini). So, 5'6 180ish. While my best friend likes tall women, so 6'2ish

It really depends on where you are buying it from. I can easily spend 30 dollars CAD on a bowl of Spaghetti and Meatballs with a side salad from a local Italian restaurant, because I know the quality should be there. They make everything fresh. That said, its not something that I would actively go out and purchase on the regular.

I do however have 1 food fantasy. There is a sushi restaurant in Japan called Jiro, which is claimed by many to be the best sushi restaurant in the world. The cost of that is about 300 dollars. I would easily spend that much on that experience, because your getting the great sushi as well as the experience of having someone make it for you. I don't even like seafood that much, and I would still pay for it, just knowing that there is a great difference between that and the stuff that your average joe makes.

As I probably said earlier. 12 suffered from the same thing that 15 suffered from, too many chefs not enough cooks. But I also put blame on the higher ups for heading towards an art direction of "everything must be visible", which really affected 15. Had 15 went with a no monsters visible in the world, they wouldn't have had to rely on drop ships. Since you know.... the world is barren.

It has a couple interesting characters, but sadly other than Balthier the rest are allocated to side characters who only show up a handful of times.

At most the money is a band-aid fix. Without fixing the environment(figuratively) around it, nothing will ever change. More corruption in their government than Kelloggs.

But we keep sending money. Trillion dollar deficit, but we keep sending money to some poor soul we will never see in our lives. Wish people had the same drive with donating to fix the economy we currently live in, which by the way in theory should fix financial problems if it were to go away.

Being inactive, being lazy, eating himself to an early grave? He can take all the vacations he wants to, it's not going to equate into life experience for all the superficial stuff he has in his life. No wife, no kids, just a dog and a roommate in a giant house set up as never never land. By the age of 45, for all the damage he's done to himself for being a wreck over the years, I'd be surprised if he even makes it 5 more years.

You say an early grave, but I counter with this point: George Burns lived to be a hundred years old. He smoked Cigars at least 3 times daily, flirted with women, and drank more than twice a day. Fidel Castro did the same, as did a dozen other people. Everyone is different. Cells regenerate, body parts as long as they aren't removed or severely damaged regenerate themselves over the course of many years. No, the replaced parts aren't as good as if you were in your teens/early 20s but they do somewhat fix themselves.

Also, you could be the biggest fitness nut on the planet but get hit by a bus tomorrow. And even fitness nuts can have heart attacks. Yes, its less likely but its not 0 percent, and then you get into things like brain aneurysms which is just a ticking time bomb.

I'm not saying that fitness is pointless, it isn't. But don't put it over happiness, or even complacency. He had a wife, she turned out to be someone who only cared about him when he was fat. She was the one who left him to try and make herself happy.

Also, for the other guy, Boogie has a mental disorder its PTSD. He's talked about it in some of his videos, how he was abused when he was a kid, hence eating was the escape he found. Others turn to drugs and alcohol, or worse actions.

When people defend the gambit system I always point to Yiazmat and explain that when the people who designed the system were figuring out how to design the best possible challenge for it, what they came up with was a boss that plays itself for an hour.

It doesn't though. You need to still manage positioning in that fight and figure out a way to tank him that doesn't cause the party to crumple if his 10% instant kill procs. Also you want to watch and see what attacks he's preparing so you can move around gear equips to block his attacks.

If anything, that fight would be a nightmare without the gambits. So much stuff to micromanage and your ability to react does matter.

Yiazmat shifts skill demands to the preparation side of things instead of 'in the moment' decision making.

..... there was a video online, probably not there anymore of someone leaving the fight going on overnight, playing itself, while they went to bed, waking up to him being dead. There are others of people eating dinner or going out, and coming back to him being dead.

I'll say it once and only once. 12 was a bad game. Not that it couldn't have been a great game, but the order of events and the lack of drive for Vaan is one of the things that made me dislike the game. I wasn't a fan of the gameplay but at least it was done somewhat decently.

What really made me dislike it, was the same problem I had with Ardyn in Final Fantasy 15. The background story is only hinted at and never actually discussed in any form leading to a ton of confusion of why we hate these characters in the first place. In the case of 12, Story events are only mentioned a couple of times and thus lose their impact. Vaan suddenly forgets the death of his brother, Ashe forgets that she is a princess trying to restore her kingdom, and Vayne while being discussed as the big baddie of the game is about as relevance to the story as Ardyn. They show up a handful of times during the story but not enough to build up any form of plot to the story.

Now, with Ardyn there is quite a bit more story to him, but you would only find that out through watching Kingsglaive and the animated series, which we can assume is retconned due to different producers.

Let me put it another way. Both Ardyn and Vayne could have been removed from their respective games story and almost nothing would have changed. While on the other hand, you have characters in Gabranth(12) and Ravus(15) who have significantly more airtime within their respective games and give you a reason to actually care about each of them, even if you disagreed with their methods. Both could have a case for being the main villain of their individual games, but instead are tossed aside for characters we couldn't care less about.

But its not like that is something new to the series. Final Fantasy has a history of doing that. 8, 9 and 10 all had toss away villains not relevant to the story, but they were usually included as bonus fights after the final story battle. Squaresoft was a brand of quality. Sadly, 12 was the first Final Fantasy main game of the Square-Enix logo. I have a feeling if Squaresoft had been the ones to produce it, while the overall story might not have changed much, I think more effort would have been made for us to actually care about Vayne as a character.

Neither Vaan or Penelo has any business being in the game. Like, I can overlook shit gameplay in an RPG but if what I can see could have been an excellent story is compromised and shitted on because we cant have the main character be someone who is older than 17, thats unforgiveable. And that's what FF12 does.

I can fix that real fast. Follow me if you will. The main reason Vaan is supposed to be on this journey is to get revenge for the death of his brother Reks which you find out literally at the beginning of the game. We can bring that to the forefront of the story by having the death of Reks played out in front of Vaan, through some form of public execution. We then replay that scenario every so often during the story in Vaans head as some form of flashback.

The order of character acquisition would be as follows: Vaan, Balthier, Ashe, Fran, Basch and then Penelo.

Fran joins after her village, Ashe is now the one who was in the prison instead of Basch, being locked up so she won't try and get revenge on Vayne, Basch is chained inside the lighthouse. By having Basch appear this late in the game, it gives a chance for Vaan to build up hatred for him. Vaan tries to kill Basch because he thinks that Basch killed Reks, only for Reddas to jump in the way thus sacrificing himself letting Vaan know that Basch had nothing to do with Reks' death. The boss then attacks and Vaan is saved by Basch who is freed by Ashe.

Penelo joins near the end of the game because she doesn't want to see Vaan go off on his own again. It's more story than she has gotten in the original release lol.

Pretty much everything else stays the same, except we get rid of that stupid Basch lives bit early on in the game.

The only other thing I would do is make Biggs and Wedge part of the Judges.

As for the 9/10 question, I prefer 9 myself, but the limit breaks are a bit underwhelming. 10 is a solid choice except for some of the bad voice acting at certain parts of the game. My suggestion if you can ever find a copy, is to play Shadow Hearts 1 for PS2. It came out at almost the exact same time as 10 did, but has a nice dark story in it.

4 through 10 are usually regarded as some of the best RPGs of all time. Wasn't until the merger that it started to get a bit shaky. Technically 10 was part of the merger, but I figure by the time it was released Squaresoft already had most of the game written by that point.

Somehow they got it in their head that action based RPG is the way to go, despite all their successes being in Turn-Based RPGs.

Pretty much any rpg that had Squaresoft tagged on it was an amazing game. Unfortunately, Enix pulled a WWE and bought out their biggest competition, thus everything afterwards is mediocre. Mergers for the most part don't really benefit any company. Least in the video game world.

Activision buying out Blizzard, Microsoft buying out Rare, Every company being bought out by EA(Seriously, look it up, during the 90s almost every video game company could be traced back to EA).

Well, FF13 has a great battle system that exists in an extremely poorly executed game, which includes the way enemy encounters are constructed. Which means that the positives of the system rarely come into play unless you're really into it and the negatives are always in full force.

I wouldn't say the battle system is flawless though. It still follows the idea that you only control a single character while everyone else is AI controlled. If they had that system but full control like 7 through 10 then it would arguably be the best system of any Final Fantasy.

I'd absolutely say so.

Look at the track record

Cesar Romero as Joker = Great
Mark Hamil as Joker = Fantastic
Jack Nicholson as Joker = Great
Heath Ledger as Joker = Good.

Jared Leto as Joker = terrible.

How the fuck do you fuck that role up? The entire role is just an excuse to go crazy and have fun and be manic. IT's a dream role for any actor with charisma.

What's Leto's excuse? "Oh the script sucked." you think Romero and Hamil never got handed shitty scripts? Half of Ledger's lines were awful melodramatic nonsense but he pulled something into it by his performance.

Leto was just so utterly boring

Reminded me of this guy

Ne4X8jb

Leto got 2 scenes... every other seen that he was in got cut in favor of keeping the story towards the suicide squad portion of the film. He could have been as good as Ledger, sadly we will never know. We only got to see 2 pieces of him.

Even Joaquins version doesn't convince me. They need someone who can properly portray the cartoon adaptation of the character. Sadistic, but not to the point where he can't make logic work.

If those scenes weren't shit they wouldn't be cut

You've clearly never watched Avatar: The Last Airbender movie, or Dragonball Evolution. Just because scenes were cut, doesn't mean they were bad. Hell, DB: Evolution had an alternate script or at least another direction it was supposed to take and then it got overriden.

I think the gyms looking all the same(at least so far) is a bad choice on their part. If they made it look similar to the animes original version then it could work our wonderfully.

Was it really his fualt?

I'd absolutely say so.

Look at the track record

Cesar Romero as Joker = Great
Mark Hamil as Joker = Fantastic
Jack Nicholson as Joker = Great
Heath Ledger as Joker = Good.

Jared Leto as Joker = terrible.

How the fuck do you fuck that role up? The entire role is just an excuse to go crazy and have fun and be manic. IT's a dream role for any actor with charisma.

What's Leto's excuse? "Oh the script sucked." you think Romero and Hamil never got handed shitty scripts? Half of Ledger's lines were awful melodramatic nonsense but he pulled something into it by his performance.

Leto was just so utterly boring

Reminded me of this guy

Leto got 2 scenes... every other seen that he was in got cut in favor of keeping the story towards the suicide squad portion of the film. He could have been as good as Ledger, sadly we will never know. We only got to see 2 pieces of him.

Even Joaquins version doesn't convince me. They need someone who can properly portray the cartoon adaptation of the character. Sadistic, but not to the point where he can't make logic work.
TopicCould Margot's Harley Quinn work with Ledger's Joker?

If your going to go with opposites attract then I would argue they could have done the Flashpoint version. While in Flashpoint Joker was Martha Wayne, Bruces mother, she was sadistic as all hell, while Harley Quinn turned into Yo Yo, almost the opposite of Joker.

That kind of pairing could have worked. Where Harley doesn't work directly with Joker but works for the Joker.
