I just can't get over how much they're allegedly leaving out, especially when it comes to popular Pokemon. I had guessed that the status quo was permanently fucked when they intro'd Mega Pokemon, something that was confirmed when they subsequently limited them to one generation.

Meh I keep seeing the news point to polls showing how unpopular he is, but they ignore that there is a big difference between a state election and a federal election. A democratic governor is going to operate under rather different politics than a democratic senator.

Governor and senator are both state-wide votes, not sure why one is so different from the other...
Of course, who's running matters, but Mitch is worse than dog shit, so if a decent Dem can beat an awful Repub for governor, not sure why the same can't happen for senator.
Or does Kentucky just intentionally send us their worst as a giant middle finger to the rest of the country?

I'm not talking about how they run. I'm talking about how they work while in office. A governor is just in the state. While the senator has to go work with the "coastal elites" that they HATE. I can't understand how much people around here hate "coastal elites".

Yep, as I understand it despite every lower court ruling against gerrymandering the supreme court has repeatedly overturned them to protect republican gerrymandering. If we are in a position where it's either be gerrymandered against or be gerrymandered for I'll take being on the winning side. I'll still think it's wrong, but if us winning can help get a court primarily concerned with the constitution who might be able actually do something about I'll take it.

Lincoln did not run on ending slavery in slave states. He ran on stopping the expansion of slavery in new states. It's why he wasn't even on the ballot in some of the southern states and still won. The writing was on the wall for slavery it was only a matter of time. So they betrayed the nation citing slavery as their reason for doing so.

That isn't even what it's about. It disappeared after the civil war. The modern usage of the flag stems from the late 40's when the civil rights movement was getting it's start and people who stood against them used the flag as a symbol of unity. It's since been used world wide by racist groups.

I'm able to accept that people say the flag means things other than racism to them personally, but it doesn't change the fact that the flag is a symbol of hate.

Not that long ago, it was the norm that even if you didn't like the president, you still met with him or, at the very least, made a polite excuse. This might have started to truly change when GWB was in office when vitriolic far-leftists realized they could use their refusal as a weapon to hurt the presidential image, although it's really hit a full head of steam under Trump.

It wasn't undercut, because there was no plan ever offered. He just kept saying "Wall" or "barrier" over and over.

Government was only forced to do it by Trump when he unconstitutionally circumvented the rights of congress.

The complaint was always that the wall wouldn't work, and now you have practical proof it's a waste of our money.

I specifically made an effort not to give him credit, I actually read the article and it was all "Well this stuff is usually associated with a homicide, but not always so I think it's consistent with a homicide" this is what we heard within a week of his death.

This isn't really new or compelling information.

And yea, the suicide makes sense. But you're never going to get everyone on the same page with the whole camera being broken and no guards watching him stuff. It's just "too convenient." The official story is suicide and I'm going to say that is the most likely, but I can't say I'm convinced.

So back when he died we knew that bone broke and people on all media sources across the political spectrum were reporting how odd his death was. I read through the article and it seems this guy didn't really provide much more information than we had then.
