I'd eat any and every one of these, by the way (not all at once, I'm still losing weight). I'm a little surprised that Snickers is doing so poorly - that was the candy you'd trade multiple Milky Ways to get.

no way

what an imbalanced trade

Which is why the Redskins will be in this situation until Snyder dies or sells the team and one of them is a lot more likely to happen before the other does.

Episode Gladio beated. I really appreciate the change in color palette. Things really popped and it was a nice look. Unexpected. Prompto next, thoigh looking at the title screens, Ignis looks like the most exciting. And does Comrades have a story? Can I skip it?

Episode Ignis hype

I thought Gladio was the weakest of the three. Prompto is good, but Ignis is the best.

And I never touched Comrades, so I can't really comment on that.

So does the AFC North winner have a winning record this year?

Yeah, Baltimore is good enough to make it to 9-7 or 10-6. They've still got 2 games against the Bengals ahead of them, as well as a game against the Jets.

The real question is are the Niners for real? I'm still not sure!

Whew, had to sweat it out there, but I held on to win my fantasy matchup by 2 points, so now I'm tied for first with one other guy in our league. I usually start off slow in fantasy, so this is a nice change of pace!

I keep making the wrong decision on who to start between Dak and Lamar though.

Usually losing 2 in a row in the nfl means you dont make the playoffs id imagine. Its definitely a sprint.

I would be super interested in the flip side of this stat, actually - how many playoff teams each year lose back to back games? The normal stat would be sort of interesting too I guess.

My intuition says that starting 0-2 says a lot more about playoff chances than back-to-back losses at any other point in the season, but I fully acknowledge that makes no logical sense, there are a ton of other factors in play, and I can't back it up.

1. Chiefs
2. Patriots
3. Texans
4. Ravens
5. Colts
6. Rams
7. Cowboys
8. Bears
9. Eagles
10. Seahawks

Only the Chargers and Saints didn't. Colts lost 4 in a row at one point last year.

Well, the point is that your chances of making the playoffs aren't 50/50 like in basketball or hockey. Plus, there are only two wild card teams per league, so if you start slow, that's probably what you're playing for unless you're just in a terrible division.

Well, obviously most teams who start 0-2 in a season don't do it. Most of those teams turn out to just be bad teams rather than merely unlucky ones. A pretty low percentage of the teams in the NFL make it in the playoffs to begin with, after all, but if you're actually a good team, you can recover from it.

Teams that have done it since 2007:

2018 Seahawks, Texans

2017 Saints

2016 Dolphins

2015 Texans, Seahawks

2014 Colts

2013 Panthers

2009-12 None

2008 Chargers, Dolphins, Vikings

2007 Giants

So we had a four year stretch where no one did, but it's happened 8 of the last 12 seasons and multiple teams on a few occasions.

Eh, the NFL is certainly less of a marathon than the other major sports, but we see a team start 0-2 and make the playoffs nearly every year. Not sure who would be the contender to do that so far this year. Maybe Carolina? The NFC is a tough conference this year though, and they're not as good as the Saints, with or without a healthy Cam.

I just don't think the Steelers have a very good offense this year. People acted like you could lose Bell and just replace him with any old guy and things would be pretty much the same, but that's not true. Conner has done fine, but he's no Bell. Losing Brown obviously hurts them (at least on the field), too.

The Bills have a defense that can win them a playoff game. I don't know that I trust Josh Allen in a big playoff road game (because it will have to be a road game).

Still, putting them so low is silly. Also, putting the Bucs in the "No hopers" tier is silly, and I don't even like the Bucs. They're way better than every other team in that tier.

Yeah, I guess it's so you don't have too many teams off at the same time.

It's still better than it was back before they added the Texans and they only had 31 teams, so there had to be a bye week team every week. Imagine being the team with the Week 1 or Week 17 bye back then.
