Exactly. If those states had less representation, then they would lose the ability to govern and essentially separate the states further. A good example is Puerto Rico as previously mentioned. They have NO power in the USA government, but they are governed by the USA.

It would be similar to a dictatorship for those states as they would have very little say in government. From what I understand though, the states themselves do have quite a bit of power for state issues, but when it comes to more pressing matters that affect the population, they would have no say on what may or may not work for them.

I am not too familiar with USA government, but this is almost proving the point:

So in the House, California has over 50x the power of certain states. Why would anyone care what those smaller states have to deal with?

I am unsure of how a different system would work, but if those 10 people chose person A and the 15 chose person B, then why would person B work toward helping those 10 people? They already have a majority of the 'support' and do no need to work toward getting support. If the EC were gone, would the states still each have an elected official who has the same power in federal government?

that isn't what the electoral college is. the electoral college is for deciding who the president is. what all reasonable people itt are saying is that the presidency should instead be selected by some form of popular vote where every citizen's vote is weighted equally

Mass Effect Andromeda is a perfect example. The sjws whined and threatened until they got stuff changed, but that's all they cared about. Oncenthe game came out did they line up to buy it and play the changes they said were so desperately needed? Nope. Yes and that happened because of forced diversity. They hired a bunch of women and minorities to work on the game, which isn't a problem by itself. The problem came from the fact that most of those people had literally never worked on a video game before. They were hired on to get that diversity quota checkbox. The lead facial animator was a cosplayer. That was why they hired her. Not an animator or a game designer or anything related to video games other then dressing up as the characters in them.

Then they had the Indian or middle eastern guy, I forget, who was literally making racist comments about white people during development. But since its ok to be racist against white people then who cares right?

That's exactly it man. It's just putting a word in front of the ok thing to make it seem malicious so that they can try to get their way while being seen as victims of...well I dunno what exactly. It's a manipulation tactic to try to make others feel like they're in the wrong for supporting something progressive, like white people not having 90% or more of big roles in hollywood, even though white people aren't nearly 90% of America.

I've seen the term "natural diversity" suggested at some point, which is odd considering we're talking about decisions that are, ultimately, being made by humans.

another potential term would be "voluntary diversity", which is equally ineffective, as societal progress has historically never happened on its own. it's always been forced by an underclass, and never voluntarily on the part of the upper class

It's not about there not being white main characters or diversity. It's about forced diversity. A good example is the new black Ariel. The character is white and has always been white, yet for some reason Disney forced a change to make her black. When they were making Aladdin they made a big deal about wanting to be authentic and get middle eastern actors to plays the roles, which is good, but then when it came time for the white princess? Nah, fuck that who cares about authenticity.
