Well gues what when they decided to throw their hat in the ring and started scooping up anime licenses they put themselves out there for the criticism as well, I don't think they should be able to hide under "oh but they do EVERYTHING so it's not fair". I am judging them right now based solely on their anime, not on their other stuff. Hence why I said "of anime" and not of general streaming. I made the comparison of them throwing money to get anime license solely so they can say "LOOK GUYS SEE WE HAVE ANIME TOO" without caring about it once they have it on there, which I think is somewhat similar to Epic's throwing money at game exclusives and having an incomplete store.

And by "service" for Netflix that's where the whole "not caring about the anime once it's on there" aspect comes in, even if Netflix itself is much better designed than Epic Games Store.

Alright they aren't an anime service, but then that means when an anime does get picked up by them it's already hitting a ceiling so it's like "Welp luck of the draw, you got picked up by Netflix instead of a dedicated anime service sorry!"

I think when I was real young I did it a few times just to see if my clothes would glow too but the appeal of that did not outweigh the killing of the bug so I stopped soon after

Honestly it's FINE (at least Shinji and Misato are so far) and new people watching should be ok but 1. yea pronouncing it NAIRV is fuckin weird especially when they say it multiple times in a short period and 2. I'm still not gonna forgive them for changing "I'm so fucked up". That's basically the one line that I think of the most when I think of Eva and the best representation of it.

I'm the opposite. I started off liking Tadano when he just a lazy dude at the driving school. But once they revealed who he was, hell of a twist by the way, and delved more into who he was I started liking him less and less.

It was literally the moment that he brought up capitalism and wanting to change the system that I was like "OK HOLD ON A MINUTE WE GOT SOMETHING HERE"

ah alright, yea we just look for different things in the show I guess. I like episodic stuff but if you're gonna give me something with a little more meat to it than I will happily oblige

And I guess my overall thoughts about the season

So I went in not liking Tadano, thought he was too perfect and just too much at first but he ended up actually being super cool, I'm just not in love with the way he was introduced with the driving school. And boy I almost got really upset with Haida starting episode 10 but they actually managed to keep it pretty chill with him and he ended up being supportive of Retsuko, I'm content with that. Oh, Fenneko got kinda shafted this season I feel, kind of unfortunate but maybe they'll get a 3rd season and she can get more.

Also kind of feel like Anai was still kind of fucked up for doing all that stuff to Retsuko and co. even if he ended up having a change of heart, but I guess at least he didn't actually end up doing any permanent damage to those he was blackmailing and whatever

Also Haida's now in with Gori and Washimi, my boy is doing it
