I made a friend this year and it's really weird for me, I've had plenty of romantic relationships but never had friendship as an adult. He's a friend of my fiancee and it's turned out we get on really well and have a lot of similar interests. I've never known how to make friends up until now and I've been very lonely and isolated. Even online I struggle because I'm a bit too emotional and open compared to everyone else. Good luck making friends tc.

Settled for 15, instead of 10 or 20. I think it gives more space to be properly representative of a person's taste without requiring too much effort.

mine is

The Tree of Life
Mekong Hotel
Dario Argento's Dracula
To the Wonder
It's Such a Beautiful Day
A Field in England
The Duke of Burgundy
Cemetery of Splendour
Crimson Peak
Antiporno
24 Frames
The Fate of the Furious
Hanagatami
First Reformed
Long Day's Journey Into Night

I'd put The Tree of Life as number one, everything else is unranked.

Cool, lets talk about the facts. Denmark has less regulatory burden in regards to their healthcare system compared to the clusterfuck in the United States. Denmarks population is arguably in better physical shape than the United States due to diet and exercise which is also an external factor that needs to be considered when driving down costs, as Americans 1970s-present suffer from many diseases and illness that couldve been prevented with better eating and exercise. Denmark despite having universal healthcare, still do have a private sector for healthcare.

Bernie and Warren are calling for a complete dismantle of the current health system, throwing millions of people under the bus, and are calling for a complete overhaul and nationalization of the entire healthcare industry that we cannot afford for a variety of reasons.
I know you're a troll account but can you not try a little harder than irrelevantly bringing up Denmark all the fucking time.

Cemetery of Splendour. I'd place it in the lower tier of Apichatpong Weerasethakul's filmography, but it's still really fantastic. Has a very hypnotic quality to it, especially scenes with the color changing lights.

Planning on watching An Elephant Sitting Still next, but time is scarce. Been caring for my sister who has been extremely sick the last week. Hope you enjoy Extraordinary Stories. I'm excited to see the director's most recent film.
I really enjoyed Cemetery of Splendour, I've been thinking about watching it a second time. I think my favourite Weerasethakul is Blissfully Yours or maybe Tropical Malady.

An Elephant Sitting Still is really good, hits like a ton of bricks emotionally though. That sucks about your sister, hope things improve. I spend a lot of time caring for my partner who is mostly bedbound, so most of my film watching is done on a tablet sat next to her instead of on the big living room tv. I've just about adjusted to it. Extraordinary Stories was pretty good, first time I've ever really struggled to keep up with subtitles in a film so I missed some stuff. For something so unusual in structure it certainly had a real sense of fun, I like that when it comes to more experimental things.

There's been a few topics like this, hoping to keep one going for awhile.

I watched The Last Unicorn last night, it was pretty good. The animation was great and the characters were well developed for a kids film, seemed to be a coming of age thing going on. Sort of thing I wish I'd seen as a child.

I'm about to watch Extraordinary Stories, it's around 4 hours long and I've heard good things about the way the plots work. (3 stories, I think)

Junji Ito's works have a very appealing aesthetic. I enjoy all his stuff on a surface level. Really good at building a very eerie atmosphere/world. However, and maybe I misunderstand, but I thought he was a horror manga artist. I find nothing in particular of his scary. Definitely manages to make me feel uncomfortable but at most it's just that. To be fair I don't think I've felt anything more from any manga.

also lol at this:

Brewing the tea
Even very slightly formal events can be a cause for cups and saucers to be used instead of mugs. A typical semi-formal British tea ritual might run as follows (the host performing all actions unless noted):[69]
1. The kettle is brought to a rolling boil (with fresh water to ensure good oxygenation which is essential for proper diffusion of the tea leaves).[70]
2. Enough boiling water is swirled around the teapot to warm it and then poured out.
3. Add loose tea leaves (usually black tea) or tea bags, always added before the boiled water.
4. Fresh boiling water is poured over the tea in the pot and allowed to brew for 2 to 5 minutes while a tea cosy may be placed on the pot to keep the tea warm.[71]
5. A tea strainer is placed over the top of the cup and the tea poured in, unless tea bags are used. Tea bags may be removed, if desired, once desired strength is attained.
6. White sugar and milk (in that order) may be added, usually by the guest. (Milk may be put in the cup before the tea: see below.)
7. The pot will normally hold enough tea so as not to be empty after filling the cups of all the guests. If this is the case, the tea cosy is replaced after everyone has been served. Hot water may be provided in a separate pot, and is used only for topping up the pot, never the cup.
This is madness, no one does this
