| Xuxon 05/14/19 11:43:20 PM #37 | i actually did a jigglypuff solo a long time ago on FR, but got bored and quit at cinnabar because it was so easy. so i loaded it up, got to the E4, grinded to 100 and tested it out. it is actually possible without any items in battle but took me several resets. i don't bother with double team except against bruno since his onix is so weak, machamp cross chop one-shots me and i can't one-shot machamp. main problem is Blue's arcanine, who outsped my jigglypuff even at level 100 and you can barely survive 2 hits off him, so you need some luck to either not get damaged up to that point, crit him, or quick claw on the second turn. i did outspeed pidgeot so if i made an effort to do my EVs or possibly nature differently that could have helped a lot. i had a lonely nature and didn't have many EVs in special attack despite mostly using special attacks at the end, not exactly ideal. and i had to use blizzard because ice beam wouldn't quite one-shot a lot of things, which added a lot of luck and shouldn't be necessary with a bit more special attack. and i imagine it's much easier on plain red/blue. --- |

You'll need to have used some PP Ups or you'll run out of PP. That should be more than enough. psychic doesn't strike me as a move you'd really want in the last battle. the only thing it's good against is venusaur. ice beam is just as good against it and better against pidgeot and rhydon. maybe learn psychic first to use against agatha and bruno but bring the ice beam (or blizzard) tm to overwrite it after. --- |
