I walked over to what I thought was the ice cream fridge and grabbed one, the fridge looked like this:  Then I took it to the counter and paid for it, went to walk out the store to enjoy my ice cream and this interaction happened Me: *pays and starts walking out of the store* Clerk: Um, sir? Excuse me. You need to blend that before you can eat it. Me: What? Clerk: The milkshake. It's just a frozen block right now. You can't eat it. You just need to run it through the blender by the cooler real quick. It's right over here... Me: *follows clerk to the blender* Clerk: Just peel the lid off all the way, pop the cup in the holder, and it'll ask you how thick you want it. Me: Can't I just eat it? Clerk: What? It's a milkshake, but right now it's just a frozen block of ice. You can't really eat it. Me: *points at the frozen block inside the cup* But this is ice cream right here. I just want to eat that. Clerk: Well, it's a milkshake, not ice cream. And it's frozen solid. You're not going to be able to eat it like that. That's what the blender's here for. Me: You don't sell ice cream? Clerk: What? Well yes, we do. There's a big ice cream freezer right there. But you bought a milkshake. Me: So I can't just eat this ice cream? Clerk: Sir, that's not ice cream. That's a milkshake. Me: What? Clerk: That's a vanilla milkshake. See? *points to literally the biggest word on the packaging, "MILKSHAKE"* Me: Oh. I didn't...umm...alright, how does this thing work then? Clerk: Just put the cup in the holder, and then choose the thickness you want on the touchscreen here. You can get it blended thin, regular, or thick. Me: What if I don't like it thin? Clerk: ...then don't pick thin? Me: Oh, I get to choose? Clerk: Yes. Right here. On the touchscreen that's asking you which thickness you'd like. Me: I just want some ice cream. Clerk: Well, we have some in that freezer. You can take a look. But you already bought the milkshake so you might as well use it. Me: Oh...nevermind. I was so embarrassed that I ran home, ignored my housemate, locked the bedroom door and have refused to come out for 3 hours. I have to watch what I eat like crazy and work out just to maintain an average body, if I let myself go for even 1-2 months I can put on 8-10kg (17-22lbs). Shit sucks. I guess it's technically better than the people who struggle to put ON weight, because as long as I'm careful I can have a muscular body. It's just frustrating because sometimes I want to have a few weeks of no gym and eating what I want, but I can't. /blogfaqs --- PATRIOTS Tom Brady objectively has six rings. |
