I turned on the commentary for Duke Nukem 3D World Tour full-time. It was actually interesting. You have to interact with a button in-game, so you can turn them on in the menu and not listen to it if you dont want to. I learned quite a lot about the game.

With no pennies, makes no sense, unless ofter tax it hits 0.05 or .10 intervals.
But also most people fo pay debit or credit nowadays in Canada, and then pennies do count.

With cash it would round up or down, with card it would be whatever the price is. The servers all said the same thing - its stupid and doesnt make sense. The menu prices should have been rounded to the nearest five for aesthetics.

The banks. Now businesses either lose pennies or make pennies on every transaction. Its usually the latter which is why some people go out of their way to use debit.

For example if the price comes to $15.83 and you pay with cash itll cost you $15.85. The business isnt entitled to that extra $0.02 on every transaction so people will use their card on principle.

FYI today, the cost of the large is equivalent to USD $19.54. And youre expected to pay 15% on top of that plus anything else you bought while servers get basically minimum wage at $12.70/hr.

It's when snow occurs early in the season, and when it looks fine, that accidents are probably most common. People aren't in that winter mindset yet, and the road looks clear.

From the youtube comments, this was on a bridge, so probably a case where the bridge iced up while the road on either side of it was fine. Bridges freeze over at higher temps than normal sections of road, so sometimes people don't expect it.

Depends on what you mean by random. Computers aren't all that great at being random. So the reductive answer is flat out no because you're playing a computer game. The game you're playing, and it's particular workings are irrelevant. What we're really talking about is whether or not an outcome is unpredictable in a way that's sufficient for the needs of the game. You tell me: can you predict what power ups you're going to get in the heat of the moment? If you can, then I wouldn't call that very random, and if you can't than it's "random" enough.

I guess if theres a pattern to the randomization then you could influence the outcome if you knew the pattern with a button.

Actually its a debatable point and youd have to see how many accidents were caused by people who are new to Canada. We import 350,000 per year and give them licenses straight-across even though they may be from a country that doesnt ever get snow. Youll never see those statistics because that would be bad :(.

His example was from an area with one of the highest immigration rates in the country.

You can after a few seconds press the same button that uses weapons or boosts to stop the randomization on one of them. I know depending on your place you have a higher or non-existent chance of hitting certain weapons or boosts. Is it still random even though your chance to get something is based on a number of static factors plus a button or no?

I guess its like Australia has been as long as I remember where everything gets rounded up or down. .03 is up and .02 is down. People go out of their way to pay electronically if the price is going to round up.

Those are Canadian dollars. And our minimum wage is only $2+ more than some US states that are cheaper to live in with cheaper menu prices. But yay universal healthcare (that I barely ever use). Most of our healthcare goes to morons climbing trees while drunk or people who are sick but not that kind of sick.

Yeah except the Bahama Breeze pizza is one of the best pizzas known to man. Its got shrimp, scallops, avocado and a white sauce that you wont forget for all the right reasons. I should go order it tomorrow just to post it.
