The moral questions posed are actually kinda deep. The way it uses a lesser known group in DCs universe with no previous setup or introductory movies is cool too. And dunno if it was intentional or unientional but it essentially serves as an origin story of dr Manhattan as a ~~villain~~. The film was incredible, shame the special effects and CGI were lacking, but more to do with the technology available at the time. Some people just probably weren't ready for those type of characters.
