Most everyone treated him like a hopeless addict and it seems like he finally got over that hump. He was on some pretty heavy drugs for a while. I don't think his drug use was nearly as bad as he wanted people to think it was. I don't doubt that he did some meth but it seemed pretty obvious that he was just doing it for the attention. He was trying to take his YouTube / internet persona to new extremes so that people would keep paying attention to him.
