They got stale pretty quickly but I mean, I still played like 60-70 hours of the game. Better than Sun and Moon where I was probably done after like 30. For myself, I just have absolutely no interest. Mushu and "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" are literally my two favorite things about the animated film so yeah... hopefully others enjoy I guess. --- |

Are you guys satisfied with such a shallow experience. Is it alright for it to just be a simple little romp where you fight a bunch of gyms and then the game's over? What I'm asking is is that what the general pokemon populace wants? It's pretty clear now that that's exactly what Gamefreak's going to give us until the end of time but I guess I'm just surprised that there's a pretty big group of people that kind of just want that. It just sucks for me because I would really love if Pokemon could be so much more than this shallow experience we're getting now. Especially since it's the biggest media franchise, it's just a shame. Even MORE sucks for me because there are so few animal/creature focused game franchises that are even close to Pokemon's popularity. Zelda and Mario get to have these fantastic games that give so much hope to their future and what will come next and then there's Pokemon where now it feels like I shouldn't even bother dreaming of what could or might be. What's the point? I'll just be disappointed. --- |

Those can be fun if that's your thing. If it's the story / plot then I just don't really understand because there isn't one. If it's just the gyms as a whole where you do a little mission then fight in front of a crowd... then uh... I guess if that's what really excites you... I'm just trying to understand what about Sword and Shield is so vastly different from previous titles that would warrant people going crazy about these games or highly appreciating them. And then I'm trying to understand how such little changes just completely change someone's opinion on something. Something like... Oh now Gym challenges are more focused on and you do them in front of a crowd. I mean sure that's a bit cooler but to be like... "THIS ASPECT MAKES THIS GAME A 9/10 FOR ME" kind of boggles my mind. It just feels like to me, the changes that the games did make are so completely minor and absolutely do not make up for things that were cut or just not included. --- |
