-@davidponte welcomes out Dario Cueto, who gives an uneventful and not particularly inspiring rundown of the night's card.

-Flair comes out for his MoT shot, but when Bryan emerges, @TheSultanOfSlam jumps him from behind! Sultan roughs him up a bit, then tosses him in the ring for Flair to get in a few shots of his own.

-MASTERY OF TAYBLES: Daniel Bryan (c) v. Ric Flair
Flair keeps the momentum with a shoulderblock as the bell rings, then kicks Bryan in the head. Bryan blocks a suplex through a ringside table, but gets a knee breaker instead. Bryan finally gets in the game with an armlock, followed with an atomic drop. Flair cuts off the momentum with an eye poke...but Bryan rallies and gives him some YES kicks! Flair stumbles to the apron...and Bryan delivers a spinning backfist, knocking him off and through a table!
Winner and STILL champ: Bryan

-@Panthera is on the mic backstage. He doesn't know what Sultan was up to, but he'd better not get out of line in tonight's main event. Panth will always be there to stand up for what's right, even if he has to take out his own partner.

-Iskandar and Goldberg are bonding backstage. Cueto says they are tough guys, but they shouldn't get too cocky, because they're facing two more tough guys tonight.

-Match: @Strife2 and Konnan v. YMD (Goldberg and Iskandar)
Both teams gel pretty well for being first time pairings. Strife is in trouble from a huge slam from Goldberg, but manages to bring Konnan in with a hot tag. Konnan, however, doesn't fare much better, and soon falls to the olde spear into jackhammer. Competitive outing from the faces, but YMD's new heavies are going to be a force to be reckoned with in B8WL. Bison comes out to ringside just to say that for YMD, today is just Sunday.
Winners: YMD

-Ludwig says that his dad ((right?)) isn't gonna be stopped tonight, whether by crooked refs, crazy fans, or washed up movie star wannabes!

-Match: Cena v. Bowser
Bowser goes straight to the power offense, ragdolling Cena around for a bit until Cena slips out of a Rack Attack and suplexes him into next week! Cena and Bowser fight onto the top rope, and Cena powerslams them both to the outside! Cena keeps momentum for a while, but Bowser stays alive via the ol' exposed turnbuckle bit. After pulling out every heel trick in the book, Bowser lands the Rack Attack! 1....2.....3! He parades around the ring with Ludwig in an almost feel-good moment.
Winner: Bowser

-GRUDGE MATCH: Ludwig v. @XIII_rocks
XIII cuts things off before they can get too heartwarming, riling up the crowd. Ludwig gets an early advantage with a strategic Mechakoopa deployment, but XIII powers through. Match continues, and Panth emerges! He squabbles with XIII for a while, and Ludwig rolls him up! 1....2....no! Close one. XIII appears to have pulled something kicking out of that. Senior official Sam Calhoun calls for a break, and yells at Panth to give them some space....and as soon as his back is turned, XIII hits a gloating Ludwig with 13 rocks! 1....2....3! The Koopas are pissed, but nothing to do about it as XIII smirks his way back up the ramp.
Winner: XIII

-Match: B8WL Champ Mario and @MajinZidane v. Knights Radiant (Zangief and Liv w/DJ REVERB)
The announcers cast doubt on the sudden alliance of Liv with the Knights, drawing the ire of Reverb. You don't HAVE to have a beard to be a Knight, y'know! Liv struggles against Boko, and when she does finally manage to land something, he immediately tags out to Mario. Zangief runs interference on Boko instead of helping Liv with the legal man, and Mario finishes the job right quick.
Winners: Mario and Boko

-Mario and Boko seemed to gel in that match! They hi-five and head to the back together.

-GRUDGE MATCH: Panth and Sultan v. YMD (UCA Champ Bang and Hardcore Champ Bison)
Bison starts against Panth with a takedown as the announcers question how long YMD are going to be able to get away with all their shenanigans. Panth dodges an elbow drop and tags out, but Sultan just takes a backdrop and some doubleteam stomps before Bang tags out to Bison. Sultan takes an arm drag toss, but manages to get back to Panth to tag out. The Phantom Thieves make an appearance! They go after YMD....here comes XIII, Goldberg, and Iskandar from the back....it's a good ol' locker room clearing brawl! Tune in next "week!"

Fire Emblem: I have decided to ditch (in extenuating circumstances) my rule to only take certifications at 100% pass rate. It's helped some of my folks stuck in crappy classes, but also led to my first failure.

The marquee said it was an 8-man, but looks like a 6-man, as they face Mickie, Sitoci, and Davis. Ebessan is in the crowd, according to Kingston. THE HINDUS ARE BACK but McClure has his own warmup ideas. Tecnicos counter with the ROBOT this is a clinic. Fun opener and....Sweeney gets the win? What timeline is this? (***1/2) Gran Akuma faces a RoH trainee and presumably wins. Claudio v. Storm in a, uh, fans bring the fans match. Solid match, good crowd response....goes to time limit.

Elantris: BOLD PREDIX- Dilaf backstabs Raethen. But will that lead to a Raethen face turn? For a sec I forgot Reoden existed and was about to predict that Raethen and Sureen would be a thing <_<

Trails: Best Imouto is BACK! So is the escalator but that'll have to wait until next time.

Elantris: There is about a 0% chance I will ever get Huncy K's family straight, much less figure out how to spell anybody's name. Also Raethen's voice sounds a bit like George Takei, so there's that.

Homestuck Epilogues: I dunno this is kinda a weird direction to go. Everything's just kinda weird for everybody even before we really start digging in to whatever the major conflict winds up being.

CHIKARA Speaking in Tongues: Cannon/Claudio v. Quack/Jigsaw is our main event. Cannon looks like a highschooler I used to work with at Wendy's. Jigsaw and Kingston roar at each other a bunch. Good stuff! Faces over, and Quack stops a Hero runin. (***1/2) Quickie Quack promo after. Trial By Foam will be skipped per advice, so we're on to Grape American Bash next time!

Game dinner sounds fun

CHIKARA Speaking in Tongues: Hallowicked+Mettalico v. Perfect Strangers. Kingston is more hyped for Davis' birthday than he is for Satoci's abs! I like all four of these guys but I would have a hard time pinpointing the exact reason. Besides the abs. Solid match, heels over. (***) Good Hero promo before he faces Mickie Knuckles, and a good in-ring confrontation with both of them. A fairly simple build but they have me really wanting to see Mickie take this jerk down a peg. But it is not to be, as Hero breaks his word not to target the injured arm! Are we gonna get Kingston/Hero???

Disgaea 2: The Old Man Geo fight is just as annoying as I remember :D;;

Of course, this means that Pandemic also is the poster-child for some of the issues with cooperative games. The most common thing people accuse Pandemic of is being quarterback-heavy - i.e., it handles differences in player-skill very poorly; with no hidden information, the most skilled (or loudest) player can simply tell everyone else what to do. And this would actually benefit the team, while obviously not being fun for the players who are just being told what to do.

This was my exact experience with Pandemic, which was also my first exposure to co-op. Have tended to avoid true co-op ever since.

-Miz is out to the ring! He's super hyped for this next match. He's excited to see if Panth can bring about the changes he wants in B8WL, and thinks that adding Cena to the mix was a neat idea. However, he's primarily here to personally welcome back from injury his best friend in the world, Bowser! Bowser celebrates, and shows off a couple moves to prove he's ready to go. In a hardcore match, because that's good to jump into after months on the shelf.

-HARDCORE: @Panthera v. Bowser (Guest ref: Cena)
Cena seems to be calling this one down the middle, not that there's a ton else for him to do with hardcore rules. Bowser knocks Panth off his feet with a ring-shaking stomp, then charges in with a running headbutt. Bowser gloats, then backs up and charges again. Panth hops over him, and he crashes into the post! Bowser's woozy....rollup! 1.....2.....3! A huge and speedy win for the Phantom Thief!
Winner: Panth

-Ludwig comes out to get in Panth's face and dispute Cena's counting skills, but what's done is done.

Truth is met with a resounding chorus of boos on his entrance. He gets up on the announcers' table to yell at the crowd...and Bryan gets him in the Yes Lock from behind....and the table gives way!

-Cueto is backstage with @Eddv . He wants to make Eddv a star, but he really needs to trim some of the fat out of MLMF. Like Truth.

-Otsuki Aruru is backstage with Mario, as she is a big fan. She treats him to some cookies shaped like little 3up moons! Mario happily takes one, and gags a bit as she explains how she put mushrooms in, just for him!

-LETHAL LOTTERY FINALS: B8WL Champion Mario and Zangief v. Ric Flair and XIII_rocks
Mario and Flair will start out, as XIII yells insults from his corner. Flair backs up Mario with a series of chops, but that just lets Mario tag in Zangief. Gief tosses Flair backwards, but XIII distracts him to break the momentum. Zangief decks him and tags out. Mario rallies the crowd, and Flair is starting to feel his wounds, but slips a Super Jump Punch anyway, following with a Chop Block. Mario kips up and hits the Mario Tornado, comboing that into a series of regular open hand blows. Super Jump Punch hits this time, and Mario tags out....but so does Flair! XIII comes in hot....right into a big backdrop. Zangief goes for the Spinning Piledriver...way too early, and XIII pushes him off...into the corner, where Mario blind tags back in. Goldberg runs in and spears Zangief off the apron! Tag to Flair. Mario ground pounds him though. Mario monkey flips Flair into the corner, and then for some reason tags in a wobbly Zangief. Gief shakes off the Spear....and suplexes Flair into next week! Spinning Piledriver! 1.....2.....3!

-Zangief and Mario celebrate together. Sampson from Romeo and Juliet makes an appearance to bite his thumb (but not AT Mario) and the face/heel dynamics are a bit off, which adds a bit of tension to the proceedings.

B8WL PRESENTS LETHAL LOTTERY

-@davidponte gives a begrudging welcome to King @Maniac64 to talk about the Knights' prospects for tonight. Maniac goes on about how he and @Korayashi are gonna beat down newcomers Liv and Austin, all to set up Zangief's big Lethal Lottery win! His arrogance starts to grate on David, who is looking forward to taking Maniac down a peg once he's cleared to wrestle again. Maniac points out that it'd be unwise to cross him when the numbers aren't in his favor.....Kora comes out to threaten David, but then @Panthera shows up to make the save! Panth would be happy to help when the time comes, because he's always there to fight the corrupt.

-We cut from entrances to Cueto hyping up the Lethal Lottery finals. Let's get this nonsense out of the way!

-Match: Liv and Austin v. Knights Radiant (King Maniac and Kora)
Heels aren't ready fast enough for Stone Cold, so he spinebusters Kora. Liv chucks Kora out of the ring, and will start against Maniac. Maniac gets the ref to call for a break, then cheapshots Liv and tags out. Big suplex from Kora, but Liv is able to make a quick tag, and Austin gives Kora a few rights. Liv attacks Maniac on the apron. Austin of all people hits a suicide dive on Maniac, then tags in Liv. ...But they've taken too long, and Kora spears Liv! 1....2....2.99! Tag to Maniac, who gets dropkicked back into the corner, so he tags back to Kora. Another spear! 1...2...no! He goes for rolling germans, but that doesn't even get a 2 count. Maniac cuts in to assist his bewildered partner, and lifts Liv up....setting her up for Kora's Razor's Edge! THAT finally puts her away.
Winners: Knights Radiant

-Cueto's music hits. It's obvious to him that Liv just can't beat the Knights Radiant....so why not join them? He's more of an MLMF guy, but he likes the Knights too, and thinks that Liv would be a great fit. He'll even offer to call this a win! Liv's response....will be a retcon, because that's CPU's call.

-UCA TITLE: Champion Bangladesh DuPree w/Bison v. @Strife2
The announcers speculate whether YMD can maintain their dominance tonight, with two title defenses and a tournament final on their plates. Bison is at ringside, and can be seen having a little "chat" with Senior Official Doug Greyson. That probably doesn't bode well for the challenger. The bell rings and the competitors immediately brawl to the outside, where Bang comes out on top for a moment. She jabbers at a fan....and then DDTs Strife on the floor! That's nearly a KO right there, but Strife soldiers on. Bang goes for a chair, but Strife tackles it into her! Both are down, barely beating the count to get back to the ring. Bang whips Strife into the ref, then goes right back to the chair, landing a clean hit this time! Big vertical suplex into a cover attempt, but Strife isn't going down just yet. She hits it again and goes for the Cobra Clutch, but Strife powers out! Bison inserts himself into the proceedings, yammering at Strife to throw off his momentum and allowing Bang to get in an elbow strike. The ref restores order, but Bang gets a low blow in. Strife goes down, but not long enough to get pinned. Bang sneaks a shot to the eye and goes for the Cobra Clutch...and Strife powers out a second time! Bang goes for the chair a third time....but Strife tackles it into her again! Both down, both struggle to beat a ten count. Cobra Clutch...Strife doesn't let her lock it in this time though. Bison urges Bang to put this guy away already, but even she is starting to run out of ideas. Tights-grabbing rollup gets 2. Cyclone DDT gets 2.9. Strife is up! They trade blows, and Bang takes the worst of it from the big man. Bison, sensing trouble, taunts Strife! Strife hops out of the ring to chase Bison, and they run up the ramp....far enough that Strife gets counted out! Bison has saved his friend(?)'s hide!

The announcers bring up Cueto's endorsement of MLMF and the Knights Radiant, wondering if he also favors YMD? Anyway Bison takes the offensive, launching in with a series of blows on the former champ and tossing him out of the ring. Bison tries to tackle Sultan on the outside, but just bounces off. He tries again after stomping on Sultan's foot, getting better results. Sultan lifts Bison, but Bison slips out of an attempted slam, dropkicking Sultan in the back. Bison bounces Sultan's head off the barricade, then steals a crutch from a fan and smacks Sultan with it. Bison chokeslams Sultan! He goes for the Psycho Crusher, but Sultan smacks him to the side. Bison finds a plate of glass under the ring, and breaks it over Sultan! 1....2....3!

Shades of Silence: Good time so far but I am having a hard time buying "Williamann" as a girl name.

Shadows Shades Silence the thingy with the hell forest: well that got dang dark didn't it? I have no memory of this one, but it was a kinda fun change of pace. I don't feel a need to see more of this world like I do most of these, though.

For the sake of getting things back to the library on time, we're skipping Sixth of Dust this go-round. Don't remember that being one of my favorites anyway.

Edgedancer: Skipping this one is not an option even if I have to eat some late fees. I miss Lift. I miss Roshar.

whatever you thought of homestuck pre-gigapause you'll probably still think post-gigapause

like if it was too much to handle or you were just kinda powering through it without interest I wouldn't recommend it

Paranatural: Sphinx of Truth is pwetty cool. ....And that's about all the progress this one has made. I almost prefer the fast-with-gigapauses pace of homestuck to checking in with things every few months to find like five new strips.

OotS: back on track to do, uh, whatever we were doing before!

Homestuck Epilogues: hello darkness my old friend. I read some epilogue-y stuff but I guess that was different! And now we're....retconning the retcons? Geeeze. I miss the visuals but this works fine. Managed to sneak some political jabs in there too, it seems. And not everybody is getting along. :(
