can't believe they didn't start Samsonov, now we're back to gambling on erratic Holtby.

Damn... I don't even know why I was still awake, it was a work night. I was probably working from home the next day, and caught in the playoff spirit.

Also just remembered that comeback happened because of a bad penalty call so, in addition to being on the west coast, that definitely taints it.

On the plus side the Leafs will be dropping down to a wild card spot after tonight probably!

(on the downside, the way Washington's going to be with a Binnington-esque Samsonov run, the wild card strategem isn't going to help...)

I'm just hoping Kuemper returns in the same form before his injury so he gets the Vezina nom he deserves (maybe even the win), plus the Coyotes would have a lock on a playoff spot if so, maybe even the division. Though I wonder about the Knights and whether the coaching change really does help them resume control.

Calgary and Vancouver falling down in the division would also be great. And Edmonton actually winning... long-suffering Edmonton... I won't hold my breath on that though.

Right now, I got Holtby benched and I need a typical Holtby performance to really put the dagger into his starter role and cement the Samsonov ascendancy. Though in the spirit of "Holtby does the opposite of what Martin wants" I'm expecting a dazzler... but I need him to come through (negatively) now more than ever! Come on Holtby!!

Holtby, ever so reliable, came through with the standard GAA over 3, SV% under .900.

If I was in Vegas I'd bet the 'over' on any game Holtby starts, since you know he's good to let in at least 3 and the Washington offence is consistently robust. The question is whether he stops there or goes the 4+ route.

Well... let's see if I would've theoretically made or lost money tonight, I guess, the O/U for Caps/Flyers is 6.5, I like my chances.

Columbus is due to be in an outdoor game, and they have the shared expansion history with the Wild, and the advantage of never having been in an outdoor game before. But not really the rivalry factor (or the broader fanbase). Or Columbus will hang on to host their own game at Ohio Stadium I guess...

If you stick to teams in the midwest or northeast and knock out Canadian teams and anyone else who's been in an outdoor game in the past few years, you do start to run out of options. Chicago could really happen I guess, lol...

So when I was in Vegas a week into the season, I was too late to put in bets for regular season point totals, but I made a list of what I would've done if I could have... since we're about the halfway point of the season figured I'd revisit based on how things currently stand (projecting full-season totals based on where they presently are, obviously there are more "accurate" projections out there based on quality of opponents, home/away schedules, etc. but for the sake of simplicity).

Like I guess the Metropolitan is starved for goalie selections but damn. Just feels like this guy hurts my fantasy team more than everything, especially as of late, his last 3 games.... real painful.

(Edit in hindsight: Jarry and Varlamov would be better picks over Holtby, though in the former's case there probably aren't enough games played as justification... but still)

XS2 is pretty rough but the battle system grew on me... once I figured how to abuse it. Also has a great ending. But still rough, yeah.

1 and 3 are sparkling gems that more than make up for it. Good thing I still have my PS2 plugged in I guess, 2020 trilogy replay incoming... unless the PS5 really has miracle backwards compatibility, then I might keep waiting.

My wonderful Kuemper... he had built up enough goodwill this season but yeah, that was brutal. Does appear like he was injured too.

The 29-year old exited the game with an injury with roughly three minutes remaining in the contest, and required assistance to get to the bench. He sustained the injury after kicking out his right pad on what seemed to be a routine save, but was in noticeable pain after the play. No update was provided by the Coyotes following the game. Kuemper is considered day-to-day for now.

Here's a credit to Island of the Idols (which isn't the worst season, come on people): I was trying to formulate desired "returnee" season scenarios, the one I was working with was a recency bias kind of thing. 4 survivors from each of the past 5 seasons (so HHH onwards), excluding any winners or returnees from the seasons. 2 men and 2 women for each season. I'll probably post and solicit opinions on that soon now that I've been doing some binge skimwatches of the past seasons recently, in the next discussion topic or a separate one.

Anyways, the problem is, all the women I'd choose from IotI: Elaine has to be there as a huge fan favourite, and Kellee really SHOULD get another chance (and I was honestly hoping Jeff would tell her she'd get one in their interview, but I guess that would be too weird to say/promise in that moment, but I really hope she does).

But just taking those two freezes Lauren and Noura who would be rock-solid locks if from most other seasons. Really a very strong season of women characters. Even though there were 2 white guys at the end - sorry Inviso!

13 trilogy stands along the Xenosaga trilogy as games I want to replay but am holding out for remaster re-releases. Though 13 trilogy is way more likely to eventually happen, and certainly replayable now on the PS3 anyways... moreso than the PS2... my kingdom for Xenosaga trilogy remaster, or even just a straight port on a modern system god dammit.

Same, all you gotta do is make a save at the beginning of chapter 11 and you're set, really. Doing everything then instead of post-game is a pretty great challenge too! I also remember having a save before the first Barthandelus fight, good times...

Kuemper has been absolutely lights out all year and the only reason the Coyotes aren't leading the west is because he's never given enough offensive support. Many a 2-1 loss, I've seen.

This feels pretty big, especially if their goaltending keeps holding up, and maybe one more piece before the trade deadline...

Agreeing with Peace above, if it's been 10 years it's not unreasonable to not have them on your resume or LinkedIn profile, use them as a reference, etc. You really should be disconnected from that past - I was also let go from a job 10 years ago and while there wasn't that level of animosity, I've been able to drop it off my work history since I've done so much more since then (but it was also an entry/low-level job so not an issue in the grand scheme of things)

But I see the concern, if someone from that long ago is a dick or holds some kind of grudge, finds out where you're working and wants to screw you over after all this time, you need to be able to defend yourself. That's rough. I don't think there's harm in throwing the docs in a folder and burying it in your closet (or some area you live where you wouldn't come across it), maybe for a few more years...

I guess the other question is, what's prompting this? Did you hit that 10 year anniversary recently and start thinking about it? Is it because you're job hunting or in a precarious workplace situation? It doesn't sound like any of the people involved have shown up, it's just a fear of if they show up?
