Given how common it has become for guys to get their lives destroyed because the woman retroactively retracted their consent, sometimes years later, and the courts heavily favoring their account regardless of the lack of any hard evidence.

So short of having a signed and notarized contract how is a guy supposed to protect himself? Would secretly video taping work? As long as the tapes were never used outside of a potential court case to confirm your innocence and show the lies of the other party I don't see the issue myself.

It's nearly as dumb to say there are only three stages too. When exactly on your scale does a child become a teen and when exactly does a teen become an adult? Age is literally just a number, nothing but the roughest estimations about a person's intelligence, morals, or accountability can be gleaned from knowing their age.

Dividing the court system and many other laws and systems by age is arbitrary and even if they won't admit it openly most everyone involved with law understands this. But that doesn't mean it isn't important to have something on the books anyways.

I would recommend staying on your hometown, but maybe traveling more. You have security there, but can still see more of the world. Especially with cheap rent there. And this could hurt financially. Depending on an SO, if you decide to get romantically involved with anyone, they could help or hurt the situation... I would say, at the very least, visit like nogaems said. But I would say to save up money while there, an just travel... maybe...
Thank you for the advice, I'll stop letting my imagination run wild now and focus more on the realistic side of things. Traveling is an idea since I've never gone more than 150 miles or so from this town. I don't really have much time to do so though... Well honestly I want to move just in general. Like I've spent the last couple years living with a friend (so my current rent is even lower than the average I listed) and I feel like it's time for me to get my own place. At the same time I feel like I've been stagnating for other reasons and if I stay in my hometown forever nothing will change. So I want to at least move out of state, and Washington caught my eye since it's literally the farthest I can get away from this place in the continental U.S. After looking up some basic stuff like the climate, geography, and amenities I thought it seemed like a cool, almost "romantic" sort of place for me to try and adapt to.

Maybe I should look at things from a more practical approach though...

I wouldn't consider either job to be really be skilled and I don't have a degree in anything so realistically I would probably only be able to get a minimum wage job to start off.

Oh and for reference the average rent for a decent apartment around here is $450-$650, I've seen small homes go for around that too. The only places that would be a grand or more would be the newly built condos in the heart of downtown probably.

lolwut? Why you would you include a version that has more effort than HGSS?
You must actually be high. These are quotes from interviews on the development of HGSS and one from ORAS.

Iwata: So it's not simply a remake of Pokmon Gold and Pokmon Silver?
Ishihara: We were very greedy with the features we put in.
Morimoto: Yes, we were incredibly greedy with the features this time round! (laughs) We basically included all the game elements that had been in Pokmon Diamond and Pokmon Pearl and Pokmon Platinum Version.
Iwata: Features that weren't in Pokmon Gold and Pokmon Silver?
Morimoto:That's right. It's just as if we've taken a selection of the best features of the series on Nintendo DS.
Iwata: And in addition, you've also added the Pokwalker accessory.
Morimoto: That's why we had to make rather severe demands on our staff, which is something I hope to improve on in future.

Interviewer: Why wasn't the Battle Frontier in the remakes?
Masuda: This question is connected with my previous answer. We didn't put the BF in ORAS for this very reason.
Interviewer's note: In short he means that they didn't include the BF because only a very small part of the players would have fully appreciated and made use of this feature; nowadays players get bored and frustrated more easily and they aren't interested in things that are so demanding/challenging.

GameFreak has been phoning it in since around the time of ORAS, or maybe even X and Y although they have a semi-valid excuse for why those game were so lack luster. HGSS was the right way to do a remake, while ORAS is an abomination, and I say that as someone who dislikes Gen2 and loves Gen3.

By now they fully realize they can put in a minuscule amount of effort for profits that most dev teams could only dream of. The success of S/S will prove they can strip out part of the very core of the franchise while lying about the reasoning and the majority of their fanbase will still pay a 50% higher price anyways, yes I mad.

Obviously that doesn't mean every pit is "bad" (bad being relative to what most would want from household dog in the modern age, like not mauling random kids) but their nature definitely plays a part in combination with the types who typically own them in why so many are violent.
