My friend has 4 kids and her whole family is vegan. I dont agree with forcing your diet on children, but I will say her kids are perfectly healthy and at a good weight. She stays home and is pretty much in the kitchen 90% of her day though, fixing up meals for everyone. Its a lot of work. Sounds like these parents went beyond just vegan diet and didnt feed their kids enough or just skipped any kind of plant protein whatsoever.

After interviewing and receiving 3 offers (and nearly a fourth but I ended the process early once I made my decision), I chose to go back to my former company. The one I initially left a few months back. Some might remember I was pissed at how they promoted someone ahead of me and gave him some of my stuff to justify it. That manager who pulled the strings has left and others were very upset with him over other things he had done. He was known to promote people based on favoritism. He promoted two others in the time I left (who didnt deserve it) and it caused major dissent on the team. Theres now new management and weve had some chats about what happened and she said they had made a big mistake in losing me. Theyre also implementing measures to prevent promotions based on subjective things and created a new leveling guide. They even had an offsite where they acknowledged that there had been some favoritism and what they were going to do to address things. So I feel confident in going back.

I will be taking up the same position as before. They didnt want to give me a promotion given everyone else is wanting one right now and it would send the wrong message to the rest. That they would need to leave and come back to get what they want basically. That said, Im coming back making about $20k more than I did when I left 6 months ago. They were gracious enough to match my other offers on the table.

What I did learn through all this is my value. Every company I interviewed with made me an offer. When I put in my notice with the current company last month, they fought tooth and nail to keep me and I had only been with them 4 months. Its certainly a boost to my self esteem but also a kick in the butt to keep going and not get too complacent as I feel I have been in recent months. Im ready to go back and kick some butt!

Too bad for those women. If they've got good careers & are making money, then they shouldn't need to find some well off guy to support them.

Things like this are why a lot of guys perceive women to be gold diggers.
Right, those women are gold diggers for wanting men with stable jobs and no crazy debt. How terrible.

I have a career and make good money, I dont need a man to support me but I need one to contribute his fair share. Seems like some men want to be the gold diggers now and women arent buying it.

I'm surprised you even went back to Quebec tbqh, you usually express a lot of contempt towards it.
Ive always disliked hockey though. Even when I went out to hockey nights with friends at the bar, I never cared. Never cared about habs either

I do dislike going back though. I try to visit once a year or so, for my siblings, nieces and my friends. But I feel less and less desire to do so. I always tell myself it will be the last time and then I miss them and find myself going ugh.

  • My husband drove me to the airport. As we were trying to make our exit, this bitch to our right decided to speed up as we tried to make for it. Just to be a bitch. We were stuck behind a slow car so we ended up missing our exit.
  • My flight got delayed about 30 minutes. Luckily I have a long layover in Newark. But boarding was chaotic.
  • Chick sitting next to me on the plane was a complete disaster. She was constantly elbowing me all flight. I could not even take a nap. She wasnt a big woman or anything. Just clumsy. Also, dude behind me kept kicking my chair and extending his legs so far under me so he was kicking my feet
  • Chick next to me ended up spilling her damn coffee all over my pants. There were no napkins so I had to wait 10 minutes for a flight attendant to bring some
At the airport now, stinking of coffee and drinking at the bar while I wait for a burger. Another hour until boarding for my next flight.

Also wtf is up with seats getting smaller and smaller? Im only 52 and 115 lbs and could barely breathe. Chick spilled her coffee because the tray was so small, she was trying to juggle her laptop, coffee and snacks on it and failed miserably.

The old old one lol. I was happy there. There is a new VP thats addressing my frustrations with the politics that made me leave. My former boss who promoted people based on favoritism also left. I turned down the offer I got a few weeks ago. They didnt want to give me more than 3 days to decide and it was a contract role. Too many risks there imo. I had another interview with a startup last week but I didnt really like the interviewers I met. I get the feeling they are arrogant and they expect you to work your life away for their company
