But death and rebirth are a part of the light side as well, so that logic falls apart. The most unnatural parts of the force are always exclusively presented as dark side.

The jedi are more about going with the flow, while the dark side is focused on using the force to go against the natural order of things. It's worth noting that by default Star Wars is generally pretty dystopian, it's not like the jedi were teaching the galaxy their peaceful ways by force.

It has a lot of structural and character issues but it's one of the most unique takes on Star Wars, and the Galactic Civil War specifically, that we've seen on film, so I respect it.

The reason the force is unbalanced is because Jedi don't use enough double bladed lightsabers. Their combined plasma tilts the galaxy too much in one direction.

While the movies are a huge success by any metric, I'm sure they're disappointing to Disney because Solo flopping showed that they can't yet turn this into a MCU megahit (and China still doesn't like Star Wars).

The thing is I don't really think there's a direct link between Solo flopping and the questionable decisions made in the ST proper (though I know many would argue that point).

So I don't think Disney is going to take home a lesson that will lead to better SW films in the future. We'll maybe see smaller side projects alongside blatant fanfic nostalgia bait for the main films.

Like alot of fans use Qui Gon Jinn as an example of a grey jedi but they completely misunderstood the notion that his motivations were influenced by tangible elements within the order, not by his personal view of the actual religion itself because he was still very much a good guy.

I believe even within the old canon, grey jedi was a term to refer to good jedi who has split from the order.

The whole grey side of the force was something that was toyed with but ultimately got pushed back by the powers that be.

And thank fuck for that.

Sending aid to a foreign government that is potentially corrupt, is ignoring a shady company within their country, and has corrupt prosecutors in their legal system is a bad thing. I think Trump did right in trying to determine if the US was helping the bad guys before approving the aid.
