Depression doesn't inherently mean sadness. It definitely sounds like you're suffering from depression to me. You should try and find a therapist to talk to for a little bit. Even if it's just a session or two, sometimes it's helpful just to get a proper diagnosis and a bit more insight into exactly how it's affecting you. Once you recognize your symptoms it becomes much easier to notice them in-the-moment and do something to get yourself out of it before it spirals.

Back in the day I used to be able to beat the game a little over 50% of the time when we played in the computer lab in school. I'd be the only person in the lab that beat the game most days, and sometimes I'd win twice in the same class period. Even my teacher couldn't figure out how I did it so consistently.

I remember literally nothing about it now, though, so I'd probably suck if I tried playing again.

I'm extremely good at it, even with "roaming" stuff like chairs. Probably because the way our house was set up when I was a kid, when going to my bedroom at night the light switches were always at the opposite side of the rooms to where I was going. So I would have to turn off each light before walking through each room in the dark to go upstairs.

As an added benefit, if I wake up to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water I never need to turn the lights on, so it's much easier to get back to sleep afterwards.

So what are your thoughts on it?

I think it's an interesting theory, but pretty much by the definition of the theory it cannot be proven one way or the other so it's mostly a waste of time. I don't particularly care if we are a simulation. It still behooves us to discern the rules of the simulation so that we can bend or exploit them to make our simulated lives better.

I definitely think so. It's the best gunplay you can find. The controls are very tight and responsive, and the weapons all feel unique and powerful in their own ways.

I picked it up the day it went F2P and I just bought both expansions yesterday because I've been enjoying it immensely. Also the fact that they decided to tell Activision to go fuck themselves and seem to be finally able to put time into making the game they wanted to make from the beginning. That's worth supporting, in my opinion.

Pasta, though it's a very tough choice because I love pasta.

To some extent I get why people are annoyed that the game doesn't hold your hand much at all. There is very little explanation on how to find/do the "story" missions. But to be honest, all it takes is a little investigation in-game. I picked it up when it went F2P and was very lost for the first couple days and didn't really know what to do. And then I randomly went to the tower to pick up a couple bounties from the gunsmith and realized I hadn't actually explored the tower at all. So I just figured "what the hell, I'll just go talk to all the important people labeled on the map and see what they do." Found that holliday chick in the hangar and bam, I've suddenly got direction.

Basically, they don't hold your hand because they assume you will go talk to all the NPCs. Which really isn't that big of an assumption, tbh. That's just generally a good idea in most games, and I'm kind of ashamed of the fact that it took me 3 days to do that when I'm normally very thorough when it comes to talking to NPCs in games. So honestly, I feel like my initial confusion is thoroughly my own fault.

Bought both Forsaken and Shadow Keep yesterday because I'm enjoying the game a ton. And now that they've split from Activision and seem to be trying to make the game they wanted to make from the beginning, I'm more than happy to support them. Destiny 1 was such an amazing experience before Activision decided to force Bungie to tell the playerbase to go fuck themselves. I'm very glad to be able to go back to the series now that it's in proper hands. The gunplay is just so damn satisfying.

Happy to report that all is going well with my bells and whistle. Showering is tricky, but manageable. I can't really use the bar of soap or washcloth directly on the area, for reasons that should be pretty obvious. So I kind of have to get a lather going above there and then sorta push that soap down and around the area gently with my hand. It's annoying, and the spot's still gonna be a bit tender for a few more days, but it's doable enough. Don't even get me started on drying off afterwards, though...I either have to grit my teeth and bear the discomfort of using a towel or sorta bend over and spread in front of a fan for a few minutes. XD

They're doing a culture on it to see what exactly it is (and they'll adjust my antibiotics if necessary), but it didn't sound like there's much you can do inherently to prevent it. I'm sure keeping clean and everything is helpful in a general sense, but like I said I shower every single day and that wasn't the issue in my case. I was just unlucky. Shit happens sometimes. :-/ Really, just don't be too embarrassed to go to a doctor. If you've got something strange going on down there, do not fuck around with it. Just go get it checked. Yeah, I shouldn't need any more incisions or anything as long as I keep it clean and it doesn't flare up. Antibiotics should take care of it in a couple days. The doctor said I was pretty lucky in that while it was in the region of the jewels and scepter, it wasn't actually affecting them. Just around them. So it could've been a whole lot worse if I'd waited any longer to go in.

So I woke up yesterday and felt a small dime-sized bump in my groin area, right on the crease where my left leg meets my pelvis. Kind of an awkward spot to see myself, but I figured it was just a bug bite, which I get a decent amount of since our house is so old it's basically impossible to prevent spiders and such. But other than a more unfortunate location than usual, I didn't think much of it.

Went to work yesterday and put up with the irritation every time I moved, and checked it again when I got home. It had grown to a little less than the size of a quarter, but again I just figured of course it grew, it was being agitated all night. I've got the weekend off, so no worries it'll probably be gone in a day or two if I take it easy.

Woke up today and it had swollen even more. It was ridiculously tender and walking was hard, and when I examined it I saw that it had not just gotten larger, but also worked its way towards my jewels. NOPE. I basically jumped straight into my car and drove to the emergency room. Called my parents on the way to meet me there in case I was going to need someone to drive me home afterwards.

After about an hour and a half in the waiting room, I finally got called back to see the doctor. They figured it was an infection, took an ultrasound of the area and found quite a significant amount of pus, which meant they had to cut it open and drain the stuff. >_< That was NOT fun. But the doctor and nurse were both women and were really friendly and professional about the whole situation (the nurse was kinda cute, too), so overall I'd say it was a pretty good experience.

Gotta say, that was not exactly how I'd hoped to spend my friday night. Luckily I had already requested this whole weekend off work, so I'll have plenty of time to recover and should be right as rain in a couple days. I've got a 5-day tract of antibiotics to take, but I'm gonna have to pull the packing out myself in 48 hours. Not looking forward to that, tbh...

So yeah, I spent my friday night getting my balls cut into. >_> Hopefully everyone else's night went a little better than mine. ^_^

He's been "in rehab" multiple times, always says the exact same crap about how he's turning his life around and he's totally a different person, and then promptly goes back to being a druggie. He said he was "clean" a while ago while tripping on cough syrup regularly nearly every day. He claimed he was still clean because it didn't count as a drug since you could buy it off the shelf.

He's a lost cause and doesn't deserve sympathy or support because he's proven at least a dozen times now that he's not actually interested in being better.
