I hate trash headlines like that. If the story from the police is accurate, they're just tragic victims due to the actions of a psycho. Anything the attorney is saying is absolute bunk. If the story from the police is inaccurate, I guess we'd need to see in which way. Regardless, they obviously didn't meant to shoot the kids, even if it turns out they were negligent in the end.

You dont shoot up a car full of children. The cops deserve the death penalty.

The article doesn't mention if they were aware of the existence of the children. If the car was an immediate threat to their lives, you could potentially justify it regardless. Though it could just as easily turn out that the car was no threat and that they were just trigger happy.

There are certainly bad police as there are bad people in general, but the narrative that they're some kind of death squad as some people seem to think is outrageous. Overall, they're fine. I could get someone saying they hate the cops in their area because an entire station becoming corrupt is not impossible, but anyone who says all cops are bad is just a loon.

The explicit inclusion of things with the intention of exposure from the good press or overtly shoving things into existing franchises that don't fit with the preexisting narrative. There are cases where the simple inclusion of a gay person is called pandering by people ony looking to complain about something, which is a dumb definition of it.

I don't get why all the game journalists think people really care about this stuff.

Try to figure out how to buy an identity and get myself situated, save as much money as possible, invest in large upcoming companies, hopefully get rich, live a life of luxury, and be constantly depressed on how I'll probably never be able to be with my family again.

I can't imagine aspiring to be a journalist, but all you do is scroll through social media looking for mundane shit to turn into flashy headlines.

Hitler liked to breath. I guess we should all suffocate now.

I get there are people who have used it in a racist manner, but these overly reactionary people need to realize you need some kind of other signal or context to outright declare something as racist.

Love. At the most simplistic level that's your answer. But I'm sure there's a lot more detailed complicated answer.

It's probably that. I don't believe I'm capable of romantic love, so that makes sense.

Because that's the most productive way for our species to exist. It doesn't mean people can't be happy in open or polygamous relationships, but the number of people who can is super low.

So because it's 'productive' people are unhappy about the alternatives? Doesn't really make sense.

Because it's productive, that's how we have evolved. We get easily jealous of others occupying the time of those we care about. That's why you hear stories of people who think they can handle open relationships or threesomes later majorly regretting it. You need a very specific mindset to make that work.

People need to realize imaginary fetishes can just be imaginary fetishes. For every furry in a fursuit, there are probably 50,000 people who just enjoy the fetish lightly. There are probably many millions of people who have enjoyed consensual rape roleplay. You can rightfully be disgusted or creeped out by those fetishes, but they're not indicative of the entirety of the person's character.

For actual story content and side missions, yes, I like to do everything. For open world games, I'll usually seek to get all the baubles if I find exploring the world to be fun or if I just naturally pick up 80%+ through the run. I don't care at all about getting all achievements.

Assuming it's actually the true timelines of events, the people in that Twitter thread shitting on them for actually taking the time to look into anonymous accusations instead of instantly believing them are trash.
