On a personal note, with everything going on in the last week, this was the first time I didn't think about my cousin who died in January. Up until now there hasn't been a single day since it happened that I haven't thought about him, but I was so busy/happy/upset/distracted over the weekend that I'm pretty sure at least a day went by without him on my mind. I guess I'm glad for that, in a bittersweet way.

I bought a Vita TV for the same price, and it plays Vita, PSP and PS1 games and remote play PS4, with a Dualshock. And when hacked it does more than a hacked Classic.

Even if it were a written policy, there's still a problem here that's worth addressing. Dress codes/appearance policies are a thing in most jobs, but discrimination based on appearance is also a thing. If this were a high class job that's one thing, but there's no reason he should have to cut his dreads for an amusement park. Not all rules are fair and just just because they're rules; you'd think with all the complaining around here about GameFAQs rules and mods people would have figured that out.

That's not a bad idea. I used to give away a lot of games here in the past, because I knew I'd never get around to playing them so they'd be better off with someone who could get some enjoyment out of them.

I may actually look into doing this. Should make sure that any games I want to donate are suitable for children.

I can't think of any shows I liked but wouldn't want to watch again. I'm always open to a re-watch; even for mysteries, where a lot of people feel like there's no point once you know what happens.

The con over the weekend went okay, all things considered; there were a lot of issues, but everyone on staff put in 110 percent to make sure everything went well regardless. After being forced to change venue due to contract issues, the whole thing took place in four different buildings, up to twenty minutes away from each other. There was free transportation on a handful of buses, but they were often delayed and were always packed so people were waiting in line for one for up to a half hour.

In addition to the rave thing, one vendor was kicked out for tweeting for people to sneak into the con so she could make more sales. She went on a tirade on social media and even the local news, and patrons are going nuts taking sides and shitting on the con in general. But just as many people are defending TnT; saying they had a great time anyway and they could see the staff were dedicated and making the best of a bad situation.

I also saw a few faces that I always see volunteering at other conventions; you eventually become a small community if you go to enough events. And my group was really cool to hang out with; as we were leaving locations after teardown (with one of us getting looks because of his L cosplay) we were all singing along to random songs. (I also felt a strange bit of shame; the older white woman and her son knew all the lyrics to some classic rap songs that I hadn't even heard before. But I did know Regulators and Baby Got Back.)

I found a unicorn at work today - a customer came through he drive thru wearing a Cowboy Bebop shirt, and as u was complimenting her on it I looked in the passenger seat and nearly lost my shit. She was reading volume 2 of Case Closed manga.

Excluding relatives who got into it from because of me, I've seen maybe three people ever who like the series, which is a damn shame because it's one of my absolute favorites. I made a loud noise resembling a yelp, got a bit tongue-tied explaining myself, but I eventually got there. I wish we were able to talk more about it.
