I remember the Sonic games and Columns.

I've been on and off with Banished.
It seems like a good game, but it does bad job of telling how to do certain shit.

Kingdoms Total War is damn good.
It was free when I got it. I assume it still is.

Empire Earth is another good RTS, really.. and I mean REALLY detailed gameplay...

Ya...it was annoying watching it get overlooked, mostly due to a lack of advertising aka name recognition.

It really is a hidden gem.
I liked how each faction was completely different.

I would recommend it to any RTS fan..
It must be inexpensive if you can find it.

I suggest watching the Great War on Youtube. It's a great look at the war as it goes just as long as it did.

That, WWI in color is pretty good as well.

In the other room, I have an old book with graphical pictures of the war.
It's kinda crazy. I gotta fish it out.

I also have All Quiet on the Western Front, and its sequel, The Road Home.

I guess, I've always had a soft spot for that war.

The US were only involved in the last year and tide had already begun to turn at that point.

The US in WW1 was little more than a fuckton of warm bodies for the Allied Powers side, who eventually won because the English invented the tank first.

The US in WW2 was a vastly different story, because United States and Canada were the only belligerent nations who didn't end the war as a smoldering crater.

I'm not so sure it was the Tanks, they came relatively late and were rather ineffective.
The generally owned the air, until their numbers dwindled and they were forced to create Jastas.
I think it was a typical German overreach.
And people tend to forget there was an Eastern Front.

The whole thing was a shit show though, for sure.
