It was all a stunt from the start. The original Sonic trailer wasnt going to be the final result from the start. They only did it to stir the poop and bring more attention to a video game character who, lets face it, hasnt really been relevant.I find that extremely hard to believe. That is a LOT of time and money to spend on a "fake" trailer, just on the hopes that people will like the "new" look enough to support the movie. You'd still probably lose more potential customers who were so turned off from the original trailer that they wouldn't want to touch it anyway.
