The way it works is that you plug in a number between 1 and 1,400,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. Then that box is fetched from the void and you can place things inside it or take things out of it. There's no explicit connection to you: anyone who chooses the same number can also open that box and take your stuff out or put their stuff in. There's no limit to the number of boxes that you can use (besides the total number of course). Why would you put something in this deposit box? Well, the contents have no connection to you. You could store illegal things if you wanted. There are locations everywhere connected to the same magic system, so you could transport illicit goods to other people just by telling them what number they need to put in to open that box. And even if you don't want to do something illegal, maybe you have items you don't want associated with you. Now statistically, if you pick a number randomly in that range you will end up with a box that has never been used before. You could spend all day generating boxes for the rest of your life and it would never even be close to likely that you get a previously used box. However, there are human beings using these boxes. So if you pick box "6969", there's probably someone who thought they were funny picking that. So here's the question: is it immoral to take the contents of any box you open? (This is a thinly veiled Bitcoin question, but I'm not sure how many people know the actual mechanics behind it) --- |

It could be older footage, or footage broadcast from the drone prior to being shot, or from the following day but at an acceptable standoff distance. There are timestamps on the footage. You can say "Well they edited the footage so the timestamp was right" but we then again fall into the territory of why the US doesn't feel the need to prove them wrong, when we do so plenty often. Who said anything about a conspiracy? There could have been miscommunication and now people don't want to admit that they were mistaken. --- |

Timeline as far as I know it: Trump/America claims to have taken down an Iranian drone (jamming it in flight). Iran claims that all their drones are safe and suggest that America shot down their own drone. Navy talks about how they have evidence they took down a drone. At this point there are really four options: We knocked down a drone (likely), we shot down our own drone (unlikely), we shot down a third party's drone (unlikely), or no drone was shot down at all (least likely). Then Iran comes out with videotape of a drone flying around taking pictures of the USS Boxer and friends after it was allegedly shot down. Navy just stops talking about it. It's at this point that it seems that we are possibly in scenario four. I wait for more information to come out. Countless articles about "Here's the new fancy tech we used to shoot down the drone". But still nothing from the US Navy about it. When Iran shot down our drone, they released footage/photos proving it. This morning Trump reiterates that we definitely shot it down. ???? I just don't understand what's going on here. Someone is lying but there seems to be no benefit to any of these parties lying. --- |
