Like, other than making it so the plot sort of resolves itself, what does that scene mean for the universe of John Wick? There is a secret assassin subculture that works under a governing body called the High Table and the most important virtue in this world is obeying the law, actions and consequences. just because he was reinstated doesn't mean they couldn't still hunt and kill him seeing as the assassins were still acting under that lady boss. all it meant was that the bounty was retracted and that he now had his hotel privileges back and was immune on "private" property. it was pretty clear from the final confrontation they did it for the sport and couldn't care less about the money. DeadBankerDream posted... Lastly I don't really understand why when the Continental siege starts, Charon remarks on how everyone has hyper armour and they should probably take precautions for that. But then he leads a squad of underlings into battle with only basic pistols. Did he forget what he just said? Was this poor editing? I get they wanted to get rid of the deadweight and focus on main characters, but theres no reason to include that before they actually fight the SWATs and find this out, then. Its just weird to me. pretty sure they were already preparing for upgraded armor... they just didn't anticipate how upgraded the armor really was, hence switching exclusively to shotties with armor piercing slugs afterwards. --- |
