| brestugo 10/30/19 3:04:50 PM #1 | Watched it last night on Netflix. It's a fast paced story about how Rudy Ray Moore made his first film. Not as funny as I'd hoped but still funny. It kind of helps if you've seen the first Dolemite but it's not essential. It also kind of helps if you grew up listening to party records like Redd Foxx, Richard Pryor, Dolemite and Blowfly as there are some inside jokes. Hopefully this leads to a revival in interest in party records. Cameos by Chris Rock, Snoop Dogg, Lunell. Keegan Michael Key is in a supporting role as is Wesley Snipes.
