RDR2 is a prequel to RDR1, so you will miss a lot of special moments, dialogue, and other bits of content that fans of the first will love.

That being said, gameplay-wise RDR1 is dated. Rockstar has never excelled in tight, nuanced or complex gunplay and mechanics. Generally things are always straight-forward. Even gunplay is tied to auto-aim and shootouts with several dozens of men. RDR2 doesn't change much here but RDR2 improves in pretty much every other department. The story is the only thing that's worth comparing, and for that you will need to have played both (otherwise it's a spoilerfest).

I personally think RDR2 is the better game by far, even down to characters, but nostalgia has to be a big part in your preference if you prefer 1 to 2.

Imo the way I'd summarize it is: RDR1 is a classic Western (despite the fact it takes place so late in the age of outlaws) while RDR2 is a neo-noir Western.

Getting injured is part of the sport. Giving your 100% will put you into these scenarios where you get hurt. That's normal. Other champions have won despite injuries. The only way to not get injured is to not play at all. Steph Curry is still a top 5 player. No excuses.

Rockstar has a habit of announcing things at the last minute/ doing things late. Historically, PC releases have never been released that much later after the consoles with the exception of GTA V.

I can see a fall release. Announcement in August.

I keep thinking about going back to the ps4 version, but I'm trying to hold that second playthrough till PC.

I booted it up yesterday. The game is so good, but there's so much to do. I really, really want a PC version so I can enjoy the game at its potential.

A lot of Rockstar employees seem to have developed the game for PC according to their Linkedin profiles. It's not a coincidence that more than 2 workers have "mistakenly" put the wrong platform in.

in fact, Gaelic is dying out. it's actually a cultural concern in the british isles in parts of Ireland, Wales and Scotland that they are fighting to preserve the language

If it isn't already, Irish and Scottish Gaelic should be mandatory teaching in elementary and high schools.

Just checked the real estate. Saw a dumpy home up for 80k euro. Everything else I can find is on airbnb lol. I'd like to live in Ireland and all but just learning the language would be a struggle.

They speak English, albeit with a heavy Irish accent. Most young people don't natively speak Gaelic.

Why would that even matter? Most hockey players are from Europe and Canada, probably close to a third of the MLB players are of Latino origin. Why the fuck would the fans thank the nations the players were born in? This is stupid.
