Were they having sex in front of children?

Probably.

Can anyone that was at this Pride event or one in the past answer?

Why, of course they were. Sex everywhere. I mean, two gay men jumped right on the ground at my feet and had sex right there. I mean, that's what happens at Pride Parades after all!

And if you can't pick up the sarcasm, then you are a doof.

My, what a lovely event. I'm sure children who were forced to attend these events will appreciate witnessing that crap in the long run.

A few groups of people in the 400+ groups there doesn't represent the rest.

That's silly. If 1 of the 30 NBA teams decided to play naked you'd be ok because most of them dont?

That's a stupid metaphor.

It was years and years ago at this point, I think either before you had ever gone or after you first went to pride, when you talked about how you felt too prude for it. I cant remember too much specifically.

Prude sounds weird though, since most people are clothed. If everyone was naked or something, then yeah, I'd say I would be too prude for it.

They want that on August 31st. I can only imagine how that would go. It would be flooded with rainbows, I expect.

Austin Pride doesn't happen until like August or September for some reason. People say it's because of the heat but I'm pretty sure they just want to attract college students who just started the new semester.

Yeah, having it out of pride month is.... odd.

I hope the pride parade in Boston is more appropriate than the ones I've seen in the West Village in NYC.

Depends on what you mean by that. I stated the worst of it above. Otherwise, eh. It was tame. Tamer than years before.

What I mean is that I'd get warned on GameFAQs if I posted pictures of many of the outfits and actions at NYC's pride parades in the village.

I'm hoping the Boston one is less about glorifying sex fetishes and more about just celebrating pride in a family-friendly manner.

Again, I posted the basics of it above. The topless women were a bit much. The blood on the pants were awkward, but I suppose not revealing (althrough they walked around with blow-up penises) ... and the bondage people with dog masks didn't exactly have anything visual. Just yeah, it was fetish wear.

The thing is, people join the parade because they are proud to be who they are, and of what they like. People cheering the parade on support anyone who marches, as long as there isn't support of harm towards other human beings, which none of these groups support. To be fair when you think about it, humanity stigmatized sexuality and without our societal growth towards modesty, sexual body parts would never even be stigmatized from the beginning. They are parts of who we are. For that reason, I mean..... I see why people support it. It's a battle of social stigmatics versus things we have naturally and some people just wish to have be NOT stigmatized. (Like the topless movement.)

I am a complete and utter prude, but I try to look at it on both ends here. I personally rather not look at people's naked or mostly naked bodies anywhere in public, except maybe at the beach in bikinis, but let's be honest. Beach goers are often more skimpy in clothing than the majority of pride is. There are some who push the bars, but it isn't like highly-revealing isn't accepted.... in some public places.

You should. I have so much fun. The parade started at 12N. I stayed at the parade's side until 4PM and the thing was STILL going. I had to go to Government Center before they shut things down, and I didn't want to miss Todrick Hall. I have no idea how much longer the Parade went on for after that, but man, I got wild.

Best part was, one group gave me a whistle, so I used it a lot. Two people had boxes of snacks. One was giving out fritos, then the next gave out smart food popcorn. When I saw the smart food, I started freaking out with my whistle, the woman giving them out laughed and was like "OKAY OKAY, TAKE THEM ALL!" and gave my brother like 5 bags of them. xD .... That was so freaking hilarious.

My statement about the whole event:

Pride was lovely this year! I went with my mother and my brother. Saw a bunch of you there! (Names Redacted).... great seeing you all! Seeing Pride really makes you happy to feel that energy.

I was on Berkeley Street watching from that area between FiRE+iCE. The parade completely energized me to the point that I would dance as the parade would be coming by, and people in the parade would laugh. Some would dance in the parade facing me as if we were clubbing together, and I'd challenge that dance. I know for a fact the parade energized me, and I energized many marching to get more energetic. It was..... sooooo damn awesome!

One thing I want to say. I saw more youth (primarily school GSAs) and Elderly care services marching. Fuck yeah and go those groups! I was blown away. I love love love love love seeing organizations supporting the elderly and the youth, especially since many tend to ignore the elders and youth are often black sheep'd. I felt that these groups have a real unity in this state, and while not perfect, we have grown a LOT this year! GO ALL OF YOU!

One last thing that made me tear up a little. As someone who is trying to get more involved with the Asian countries (Since I want to learn Japanese, and hopefully Chinese some time after), seeing Taiwan and Thailand there made me happy. Taiwan moreso because they just legalized gay marriage. It was so cool seeing Taiwanese people here, in Boston, celebrating with us and seeing them show the pride they have of their country (but don't tell China this) of being the first in all of ASIA that has legalized gay marriage. This was .... moving. I couldn't feel happier for Taiwan.

Pride is a magnificent event, and I hope ALL of these groups return next year, and maybe Boston should start the march earlier, so everyone marching can get to government center and enjoy the festivities as well (poor people at the end of the parade) .... Other than that, I cannot wait until next year. This was so fucking amazing.

Yeah, I posted this elsewhere. It was a great event this year. I did however, have a random guy at night walking around with my brother and mother randomly who seemed to be subtly/not so subtly trying to hit on me. That was probably the only awkward/ehhhhhhh event.

Did they keep it family friendly or did it break down into some fetish fest with mostly naked people running around?

I feel some groups tried to make it less sexual, while others kept it sexual. Things I noticed:

- Of all the handouts paraders gave, I never once got condoms or lube. I did last year.
- I did not see the booth giving out free dildos and sex eggs this year.

- I did see a lot of people walking around in bondage clothes with leather dog masks, about 70% naked.
- I did see people with the foreskin group, walking around with red blood stains between their legs on their pants.
- I saw some women in the parade with nothing on their tops but pasties.

So I mean.... take that as you will. Mostly, nah. It depended on the group IMO.

I have Tufts Health Plan through the Mass Connector. They are covering my breasts in three weeks too. Great, great plan.

Ah, I see. Yeah, she can't move forward if she has those barriers. I left my job because I wanted to move on and start over. She'll have to do the same, or transition in the job. On and off at work is no way to live. She needs 100% liberation from this male role.

Guess that's true, but I feel like in Mass most people don't care. At least at the hospital I work at there's multiple out transitioning people, no one cares. My boss is a lesbian and no one cares. Maybe in Central mass there's some discriminatory people, but Eastern and Western Mass seems to be relatively safe.

They covered the SRS too? How much did you pay for that?

That'll be her choice to make, if she ever feels confident.

^ if you're talking SO3

There was the Urrsa Cave Temple, that's the volcano post game dungeon. Gets harder if you clear it after the made of tribulations. So of course, that also means if you want to get all the "encounter X types of enemy" battle trophies in one go, you'll need a few saves. One for (boss A+B), (B+A) as well as the "beat them without taking damage/ in under 60 seconds" before the maze of tribulations, and one for beating the same composition but after the maze. Also you'll need to take out the third boss combo, doesn't matter which one you get as long as you abuse multiple saves to pad the enemy list.

Edit: you can do more if you didn't recruit an 8th character, in that case you can do (a+b) (b+c) and (c+a) x2, only caveat is you need to recruit the 8th character before finishing sphere 211.

Yeah, that place you fight Freya at.

Oh, the bill passed in 2015 for transgender people. The vote in 2018 was to remove the protections. Nothing will be changing involving that law.

And cool, I live in Massachusetts too, although I .... assume you knew that?

Hmm. I had to come out first. Did she come out yet to EVERYONE? .... After that, I got straight onto hormones and pushed to fix my looks. I started transitioning about 6 years ago, (was 26 at the time) so anything is possible for anyone really. The issue is, you need to be "willing".... if she isn't willing, she'll never jump. She'll miss 100% of the opportunities she doesn't take.

That is true about the protections staying in place. Is there still a fear for that though employer wise?

I had no idea, which I guess brings up the next point, how'd you get insurance to cover it? What doctor/hospital did you go ultimately?

As for if she has come out to everyone? My guess would be no, she's afraid of what people would say at her job. Which is understandable. But I mean...I'm sure people know she is transitioning, I don't mean to be blatant but she's quite blessed with her endowments as a result of the transition. They're her pride and joy and she knows and brags about it to me often. Which is what's so confusing as to why she's terrified about wearing women's clothing.

That Bill is in effect as far as I know. It was actually not to introduce a policy but to keep an existing policy in place, though afaik it was just for bathroom choices (the building I work in now has some restrooms as All Gender restrooms)

The bill was for all public accomodations. With this law, we are protected from discrimination in public places. Meaning, harassment in malls, parks, or any public accommodation is against the law. It was pinned by the No on 3 campaign as a bathroom bill. It was beyond that. It meant overall discrimination protection.

It was me a few years ago. I didn't authorize posting of my photo.

Depends on where you live. I live in Massachusetts and have been going to college as the female me. I made so many friends and have loved my out-time. I just fear employment issues because ..... well, you can easily be discriminated over a job and not know for sure. You can't prove it and it is always in the back of my mind.... but in college, you have opportunities to build friendships and connections to help get you to those careers you seek, so I went back to school.

I think she should try. She'll only get depressed not doing anything.

Ahh, that I didn't know. Still looked great.

I live in Mass, same as my friend. However, the anti discrimination bill for transgender people did pass last year. Has that not gone into effect at all?

Were there any small steps you took? My friend's the kind of person who refuses to try even once, because she KNOWs she'll look terrible no matter what, even if she hasn't even done it. I don't really know what else to do. She did go to a salon once to get her hair dyed and done. That was the extent and she said it was absolutely terrifying. But like a nail salon or to get a makeover? NEVER, even if she's never given either a shot at all. I don't know how else to push her towards doing it. Hell I even offered to get the make over done with her and go first so she could have someone doing it to get over that initial fear. Still nothing.
