The mix of real life mundanity and the bizarre plot and fighting is the point Compare to Nier 2 which starts with half naked women airplanes having whoosh crikey laser battles in the sky with no respect to the player Sometimes things are better when they are allowed to breathe I mean look at Better Call Saul. A show so good they made a guy going outside to get a box of random files from a car one of the most dramatic moments in the show. That's good writing and atmosphere. Shenmue for all its flaws has that And you cant dismiss me as biased. No dreamcast love here and I played it for the first time less then a year ago --- |

Nier 2, Persona 5 and Okami bored me so much I had to stop playing. I played Shenmue 1 and 2 back to back and completed them both. IT has huge flaws but amazingly immersive --- |
